There is no Z1 version legion go, that's the ROG Ally. The only difference between the SKUs is the hard drive.
@motivatedtravel6 ай бұрын
Depends on which territory. Should have pointed that out, but there were two variants in Australia. Other places as well I'm told.
@sheldonzs6 ай бұрын
@@motivatedtravel oops, my mistake. In the USA there's a Z1X 512GB and a Z1X 1TB variants. I had no idea that internationally there was a Z1 variant. If the ROG Ally is any indicator, the Z1X is a no brainer!

@@Eevolved35 Maybe they've stopped producing them, or retailers didn't stock them. It had a 256GB HD as well. There's plenty of posts of people online who bought the Z1 by mistake based on the price. Mostly in Eastern markets.

Interesting I haven't had any crashes on mine then again before running a game I always look up someone else's optimal settings then tweak from there.

@@Andres760891 That's an interesting approach, I like it! Seems to be hit and miss. Definitely had a few people tell me they have the same experience, but others like yourself have been fine. I wonder how much is OS and not hardware?
@Andres7608916 ай бұрын
I mean it's a pc so I learned a long time ago you gotta optimize the game before trying to run it or you'll keep running into issues. Especially when it's a under powered machine you can't really complain that it's not running everything on high settings so expect to run low settings first, and tweak from there. My favorite thing about the legion go is I won't have to worry about opening up the machine to change the joy sticks cuz I'll just buy new controllers for it once they get stick drift which seems inevitable with controllers nowadays and that was the main reason I didn't buy the Rog Ally I had already put it in my best buy cart online but last minute before buying I waited couple weeks to get the legion go instead and I have no regrets.

@@Andres760891 Interestingly, most of my issues with games not working began before the game even loaded up, rather than playing.

I was between buying this and a gaming laptop, but because of the hot sale (here in Mexico) I prefered to buy the 1 TB Legion Go and a MacBook Air (since I have been an OSX user for more than 14 years) I hope I have made a good choice. I bought it practically as an “extension” to my Xbox Series X. Do you think I made a good choice? Should I request a refund for both devices and only purchase the gaming laptop? I have to say that my main games are: Diablo IV, Diablo II Resurrected, Warzone, Fortnite, Age of Empires, Injustice, most of them are available on Xbox Game Pass. I appreciate your response.
@motivatedtravel6 ай бұрын
Depends I guess how important battery life is to you. The Legion Go doesn't last too long. The MacBook is pretty great. Tough one. If you like Mac for everything non-gaming, you've likely made a good call I think.

@motivatedtravel6 ай бұрын
Glad to hear you've had no issues. You could see in the video what was happening for me. I don't go around too much mixing with settings as I'm trying to recreate a general consumer experience. Most people are just going to expect the game to work, not to have to go into the BIOS and start fiddling around. Good tip though for anyone else who is having problems!!

I think it makes the Legion Go even more special that it's made for actual PC users I'm emulating so many games on it and my buddies at work on my break see me playing it and want one but I warn them that it's not so user friendly if you don't know your way around windows and tinkering with PC settings. Honestly it makes owning the Legion Go feel special on my lunch at the hospital I work at I get tons of questions about it I almost have to find a good place to hang where no one will bother me cuz how cool people think it is, I'm like shit all my break went to explaining and giving people a demo of what it can do that I didn't get to play lol. First thing they say when I whip it out is it's so huge 😏

You saw the screen and software, it's easy to play and download gaming? am console gamer this is first time I will use , do you think this device will be helpful for me ? Never mind the OLED it's only screen , I can use OLED screen separately, advise me about the hardware software specialy Lenovo had entered the handheld gaming for first time. Many thanks

My lady has the switch oled and our son has the steam oled. I’m very much a pc guy so naturally this caught my interest… I’ve set up all the consoles in our home and steam is definitely the easiest, out of the box, ready to play console. That being said. The Lenovo demolishes the steam oled in every aspect to handheld gaming. I really thought the LeGo was an impulse buy that would sit on the shelf after…I’ve had it for 6 months so far and used it almost every single day. It’s only gonna get better with the updates. Don’t forget it took steam a year and half to get their shit together and LeGo is not that far behind if not already there
