Micro Center is having an awesome deal on the Lenovo Legion T5i 26IOB6 right now. I hurried and ordered one. I could have gotten an MSI R gaming computer from Costco for about $300 more with almost identical hardware. When I saw what the cooling fans could do opposed to the MSI I knew I was getting even a better deal. I’m really excited and it comes with Spider-Man Remastered. Glad you had a informative video.

@it’s just frost well considering your internet seems like its on the border line of not being "good enough" for Fortnite, you're probably getting less fps than usual. But considering the rtx 3060 is steadily increasing as the most popular gaming gpu, I'd say what i said when i made this reply, an understatement. It can get a good 250-300 fps on 1080p medium/max/high from what I'm seeing.

@@brianadsersen8968 There isn't much reason for them to break, its not that powerful and well cooled for what it is, usually they will be long obsolete before anything happens, especially with a good surge protector.

Thanks for the review! Which motherboard (brand and model) and which brand & model PSU does this have? Per the specs, they skimped on the PSU with only a 500W unit, even though it has an RTX 3060 GPU. Is this a proprietary motherboard size and non-standard PSU size?

When you bought the computer, did it come with a 3050? and also I have the latest one of this on bestbut with an i5 12400 and a 3050, I am trying to find out if I can upgrade to a 3060 ti. It is the right size, but the 3050 has 1x8 pin connector and I don't know if that means the 3060 ti (1x12) is uncompatible.

Maximum consumption of - 12700k 190w - 3070 220w in addition there is a flat rate of 5watt each - ssd - hdd - keyboard & mouse Power supplies have their best efficiency at 60-85% load, whereby one should say that with web applications anyway only 30% of the maximum consumption - current is needed and with playing that somewhere 70-80% are. So for this ready (!) system 500w is well chosen.

Is 400wpsu enough for it I’m getting mine from micro center these are the specs for it Lenovo Legion T5i 26IOB6 Gaming PC Intel Core i5 11th Gen 11500 2.7GHz Processor; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6; 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM; 512GB SSD+1TB HD
@6r3ys0n
@6r3ys0n Жыл бұрын
No. I bought the same exact model from microcenter for $850. After taking it apart and confirming the 400w wasn't a typo on microcenter's behalf - I was hoping it had 650w like the 3050 model at microcenter. I was wrong. I immediately went to best buy because it's closer and bought a 750w Corsair 80+ bronze psu. It was only 80 bucks. You can only comfortably fit about a 140mm psu in it. Otherwise you have to disconnect everything and go through cable management with the fans all over again. Another bad thing, the vrm on the motherboard doesn't have heatshields, nor does the northbridge chipset. This is the 3060 model. Although this KZbinrs motherboard seems too. I also bought a 240mm MSI aio and took off the air cooler for the cpu. I was getting spikes up to 84c on certain cores while gaming under full load. Though it sat around 75c most of the time. Now it stays about 10c cooler. Going back to the 400w psu, you can run the PC but not safely. If there is a random power spike your PC could crash and it could damage hardware. The bios in the motherboard is extremely shallow, you can't overlook. And you also absolutely have to have iedec compliant ram if you want to upgrade from 16gb. And that sucks because most jedec ram at 3200 mhz only has CL of 22 and 1.2 v. Meanwhile XMP ram that can run 1.35v has a CL of 14-16. Much better latency. I ordered an MATX Asus Tuf B560m motherboard and reinstalled windows because the bloatware is not good. Now I have to get new ram sticks. Then I'll upgrade to an MSI RX 6800. Or 3070. Other then that the PC is fantastic. I am going to swap chassis to the Corsair 4000d flow as well. I could have grabbed an NZXT H510 Flow for $40 from someone off marketplace who buys overstock and had no idea what to do with it. Decided against it because it only has space for a single 120mm aio up top. Not a fan of the huge legion OY on the front, and have no idea why they couldn't just make the top and front filters magnetic. You literally have to pry to get them off. And the way the built the front grill, so you can only mount two 120mm fans is beyond me. There is room for 3. It makes no sense. But for 850 it was too good of a deal to pass up. Regretting no building my own for an extra 100 bucks or so though. I could have went with 12th gen intel and been able to upgrade to 13th when they came out. Now I will have to buy yet another motherboard to do that.. either way.. great deal. Those are my gripes. Also the reason I want to switch chassis is because there is literally 0 room for cable management in the side panel, amongst other things I explained. The legion one will work well for now though, it has great airflow. Can't say that about other cases

4/10 I chose the i9 32gb 3070 t5 because it actually had a better price to quallity rate than the t7 because with the t7 the i9 would be a k but i would lose the 1tb hdd and had to pay an extra €300 while the performance of the i9k to i9 is only 1-10% Edit: The 150w cooler is not strong enough though, and this while playing Beamng it thermal throttles above 140W when you are playing for a long time. Edit 2: read the comments in the comments pf this comment. Those go further into detail.

I'm looking at this exact cofiguration. It's on sale for 1700 euros. How has yours held up? Would you recommend it?
@apotato5563
@apotato5563 Жыл бұрын
@@arie8515 nah wouldn't recommend it. Had a 6+2 phase motherboard without heatsinks dropping the cpu speed to 2,5ghz when gaming or doing productivity. Vrm's got up to 105°c before throtleling. Cpu cooler was really bad and the case fans are set at a terrible fan curve that makes the fans spin at 800 rpm until the cpu reaches 90°c and then ramping up to ~1800rpm until the vrm's would throttle. Also the version with a metal side panel only has 1 intake fan instead of 2. Case has proprietary cables making a motherboard upgrade hard because you need adapters which are hard to find/non existent. Psu was a huntkey psu (known for it's terrible psu's) Only good part was the RTX 3070 but you can't turn off/change the argb on it and it only has 1 8pin connector making overclocking a bad idea. 4/10 only reason I didn't return it was because I couldn't return it. And because upgrading the case/mobo/cooler/psu would've been just a bit more expensive

@@apotato5563 hmm okay thanks. Honestly i don't know if there's a prebuilt out there that has it all. There's also a t5 glass side model with a ryzen9 5900x, nvidia 3070 and 32g ram configuration. Power supply is only 550w though and there is little to no info on cooling. Maybe I'll look at the t7 model which has a 750w psu instead of a 550. Honestly the airflow of the case is fine (which is usually terrible on prebuilts) And like I said idk if I'm going to find anything better for the price. I don't think there's a prebuilt out there that ticks ALL the boxes.

@@arie8515 with amd it's probably fine. Although if possible and it's at a good price i recommend the version with a 6800xt because buying a 8gb card now won't be future proof. But it's up to you! Also you can buy your own psu and replace the sketchy huntkey 550w 80+ bronze psu. The 650/850w psu's that lenovo uses are from FSP which is a reliable brand
