Thank you so much for making this video! I foolishly broke my screen and this is the only video featuring a screen replacement for this model. I have an E455 and it was pretty much the same except for some minor differences in the ribbon placement. I would have been totally lost without the help of this video.

The cable that goes to the motherboard is only an extension cable. You don't really need to open the entire laptop, just shut off the internal battery and open the bezel, then replace the screen. Please note: Lenovo uses white-list of panels, and unless your panel is in the list, you won't be able to adjust the brightness.

E450を利用しています。メモリーやHDD交換なども今後考えていましたが、バッテリーの外せないタイプで、困っていました。BIOSから、認識させないようにすることができるんですね。 ありがとうございます。

Don't give up your day job because I can tell you were learning as you went, No need to disassemble the whole laptop just to replace a screen, just take off the bezel, take out 4 screws and disconnect the cable. What took you over an hour to do I can do in 15 minutes, Just remember time is money 50.00 for screen replacement is what I charge so 50.00 for 15 minutes or 50.00 for an hour. You figure it out.

I think you don't need to disassemble everything. You need to open only the LCD part and pop out the connecting cable at the back of the LCD module.

I would never open the screen case that way, my method is different and it will not damage the screen

On eBay. You can find some sellers selling T440S IPS screens. I recommend you to choose a seller which you can specify the exact models.

Why not just disable power/remove RAM/HDD, then go straight to popping the Bezle off?

Anthony Gladden You cannot do that way for E450. I tried to do so, but the hinges were stuck and couldnt remove the bezel.

Did you have to buy a new VIDEO CABLE AS WELL? Because most sellers are only selling the screens? I have the same laptop but it came with a 1366x768 screen. BUT I know my graphics card CAN support 1080p screen. Do I need to buy a NEw video cable or can I use the same video cable?
