It would be nice to do a comparison between the Intel and AMD variants of this laptop. I 100% agree on the keyboard, Lenovo needs to re-think their keeb strategy.

I have, on several older laptops to get WiFi 5 and looking at doing it again for WiFi 6.
@KangMinseokАй бұрын
Normal people: Never. When a laptop or PC gets that old that it would need a new card, it's probably wise not to connect it to the internet anymore xD
@mikaelahyakuya3485Ай бұрын
It's okay if it's equipped with the latest Intel BE200/201. But if it's 6E or some Mediatek/Qualcomm card with bugs and problems? I bet you'd want to change that out.
@drewmfieАй бұрын
when you're a private consumer who isn't an enthusiast, probably not, but in commercial settings? absolutely yes. there's a reason why business laptops of a decade+ ago and were so modular you know? it's simply more cost efficient to have IT upgrade the entire fleet of laptops than to buy new ones when they dont have to... and thinkpads are supposed to be business machines!
@VektrumSimulacrum27 күн бұрын
@@drewmfie This^, I had to upgrade my wifi card when work changed ISP. They told us any PC older than 2017 wouldn't connect to the network and we'd have to get a new one. What they didn't tell anyone is the school wouldn't issue new laptops to more than half of us but we could keep our old ones. Well...they also didn't tell anyone the only thing stopping us was the wifi cards. I upgraded mine and continued as normal.

Nice review. I'm sticking with my X13 gen2 until Thinkpad's have removable wifi cards again, the usb-c's on a daughter board would be nice too. Even my old X61s & T440p both have Wifi 6 cards in them.

Hey sir, you are doing great job. I really like in the end of video, how you have answered the most important question for us viewers "Is this laptop, something you would keep for yourself and spending your own money on it", but you awake a huge interest in us viewers, if this isn't the laptop for you, which one is? I would be very grateful if you answer that. Thanks for your work.

I spent my own money on a P14s Gen 2. I have been hoping to get my hands on a P14s Gen 5, with the intel and Nvidia graphics. because I'm pretty sure that is what I would spend money on.

Nice machine. I have the Gen 3 version, which is good, but I agree with you on the keyboard. I _really_ want the T420-style keyboard back (7-row, non-chiclet, decent travel). Otherwise, this seems not much different from mine, aside from the second RAM stick (which is a definite improvement).

Hello super review ! Would be possible to do a review of the p14s intel ? There is whole new chassis and bigger screen. Seem to be the real descendant of the t14

It'd be really cool if you went "under the hood"--showing its upgradability in real time. Personally, I like white or grey color on laptops as the black ones are usually smudge/fingerprint magnets. I think price-pointwise, Thinkbooks are a much better option even though I get the cult of following of Thinkpads.

Is there a big size difference between this and the T14s?
@moto-rambler4 ай бұрын
The overall sizes are the same. The main diff is the slight underside taper (rear to front) on the T14s.
@Alpha87134 ай бұрын
The S model is slightly smaller and lacks built-in wired networking. Also, repairs are more difficult (e.g. the keyboard swap procedure). The non-S model seems like a better deal.

how much thicker than a macbook pro is it ? there are a bunch of reviews that say it is 23mm in thickness and the psref is wrong. any chance u could create a short video around the thickness ?
@duxingxia0012 ай бұрын
In actually,I like 1.5mm better than 1.8mm.It will more relac for key every keywords. This year,T14 is let me depress,But Lenovo design a Chinese version Thinkpad T series in this year, T14p 2024. That can ADD(yes,add isn't replace) a 2280 m2 drive,system drive use a 2242,and it have memory slot,I think T14p have more traditional thinkpad t series design than T14 this year.
