Hi. Thanks so much for making this video on an older model. I still use this model computer and was very happy to find a good video on it. And even in 4k 😉.

Thank you for this video. Just had a problem with this part myself, one of the leads had disconnected. Thankfully it's very cheap to replace, but this disassembly was incredibly irritating, this demonstration helped a lot.

Thanks my friend. Got to replace that part by myself. Good luck with the business

@@gmaster77able In the end i did it, you need to get the keyboard and the touchpad out, afterwards the screen, which is plugged to the wifi card cause of the antenna. So yeah pretty much full disassembly except without getting the mobo out.

@@mulmeyun wouh, thnx! sounds like a huge operation - so I will stay away from that idea for now...

Had the same exact problem, although I could fix it with tightening the screw. Thanks for the quality vid!

5:14, there is usually a wifi card connected in the wires, it's held down with one screw, but it's not needed to screw out, only holds the wifi card to the mobo

I wish there was just a backdoor we could open to fix the jack! oh what fun

Bit of butchery but I was able very carefull, do drill a small hole in the case vent to gain access the power socket holding screw. I could then tighten the socket down. This has alleviated the intermittent connection for now.

Just so you know, when you assembled the laptop, you forgot the two screws for the keyboard.

Well spotted. I have in front of me a T430 I was just working on and the thing is a nightmare to dis-assemble first time... I have shoved it back together temporarily with NO screws and you wouldn't notice as its built so well, seriously not a creak or wobble anywhere. I could pick it up and run with it swinging it around. Via T430 sans screws.
