I fixed the glitches!!! you need to remove the user data partition encryption! you cannot do this from the stock firmware, but after a root is doable and slick! Google 'Lenovo yoga tab 3 pro encryption removal' there is a good or two on it, but it is quite involved. let me know how you get on!!
I Really like the tablet, been using it a while. For movies, media and projector its amazing! The cameras are pretty good for a tablet and I the android version of the office applications are pretty good.
When you plug a mouse into it the productivity apps, excel, word etc became a lot more usable.
It's certainly not as productive as a windows tablet, android does not really flow as well, but for light work is perfect.
Does occasionally pause or glitch which is a little annoying if you are used to Nexus devices (always updated and pretty responsive). see fix above!!
So in conclusion, as a consumer device, its perfect. For productivity less so, but that's really all android and osx tablets. Don't be a stranger, please click here for updates: www.backoffices...

6:02 And of course, with the Android 6.0 update, Lenovo did just that, going back to the stock Android UX, but with some minor modifications, like a Lenovo support link in the "About device" page. Yeah, the Yoga Tab series wasn't really desirable when it first came out, but even since they ditched their custom UX, their Android hardware has basically became a little more desirable.

18 hrs?? I got a used one, updated 6.1 but the battery goes from 100 to 90 % within an hour. Did your battery start losing its mojo after a few years? 3 hours of you tube and it chomped 20% or so, and brightness fairly low and on wifi. Great sound though. 🤷‍♂️

+Carlos Acevedo in terms on function and performance is running pretty much the same. I hear they updated it with more ram and probably a better CPU. I would look out for that one 👍

does this tablet come with any hdmi port, i saw when you clicked on the intel video to display the sound quality it showed an hdmi port however all other videos i have seen of the sides being reviewed i have not witnessed any please clarify for me

My 2017 (in Australia) Yoga Tab 3 Pro has a dead battery, I asked Lenovo for a price but have had no reply, there are two types on eBay flat or tubular, flat has two available prices, $175 and about $70, the tubular type is probably not for a Pro, the trouble is Lenovo don't seem to know anything about their product and a phone repairman I took it to said he can't open it so any idea anyone?

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting official firmware updates to fix your performance issues, Lenovo are fairly inept/dismissive when it comes to any form of software with their name against it (I assume because it's all outsourced and they have no direct support themselves/control). Unfortunately due to the sheer amount of unique hardware inside it, you're going to struggle to find a Cyogen or XDA provided custom rom for it for a good while (and that's even if it becomes a popular device). I'd probably experiment with the app optimisation / power saving options if included or have a look at some of the 3rd party things: CCleaner or ES Task Manager. It does look like very nice hardware though. It's a bit of a shame they've let their software team go Sonic '06 on it.

I think all this tablet needs is the few bloatwear background services on it to be blitzed. I have no idea what that little icon in the corner is for - just you tell you what you already know! Looking at the Google tablets it seems quite a few of them are stuck in 5.1 limbo, so it may well be an issue with releasing Android on tablets is always a poor relation compared to the phone handsets. After spending quite some time with it now, I think I am more or less happy with it. The integrated projector is such a great feature I can overlook the odd bit of jitter or slowdown. I think I just need to accept that these tablets are still 100% a consumption device and this one is heavily optimised for that role. The emulation experience on it is absolutely cracking! :)

Yeah, it's the 4.x story all over again. RetroArch is fantastic, I have a lot of love for it (I have it on 5 platforms currently). Worth throwing onto a Wii if you have one.

+johnmonk66 Darn, that's a shame. Mine is still pretty good. I'm glad they finally released an update. Mine updated a couple a of weeks a go and fingers crossed it will start stable.
