Like, there should be some video that shows the quarantine-effect on hair/beard growth. What a GREAT idea! Thank goodness for our sake he was able to get a quick haircut in there after this one.

Hello, I have hyperopia and I suffer from big eyes when I wear my glasses. Is there any suggested material to reduce this problem?

Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)

@Kase Mekhi Definitely, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself :D

Probably the best video on this topic I've seen. It'd be amazing if you could have posted pictures of each of the lenses in frame you selected for a visual comparison (i.e. show how much it matters in practice)!

Thanks for watching! You're right that it would be nice to see that actual lens in reality. We tried to do our best by showing it to scale, but perhaps we need to revisit this!

I don’t understand the one number lens strength. On my Rx, it shows two negative numbers for each eye. Am I supposed to add them together? Like when you show the difference in thickness for +3, +5 and -3, -5… how do I figure out what mine is? My right is sphere -2.00 cylinder-1.00 and my left is sphere -2.00 cylinder -1.50. So does that mean I should be looking at the -3.5 strength range since my left is worse?
@sportrxeyewear Жыл бұрын
Hi Lalala, great question! When you add the sphere and cylinder powers together, you get Total Power. In this case your right eye (OD) has a -3.00 vs. the left eye (OS) a -3.50. It's very common for each eye to have different diopter strengths, and with a difference of -0.50, there's little concern over what the difference in thickness there might be between the two. When it comes to overall thickness, you'll notice a bit at the edges of your lenses, especially if you select an eyeglass frame with a large lens diameter. However, you can reduce some thickness with a high index lens material. Hope this helps some!

@@sportrxeyewear you’re AWESOME! Thank you for responding and being so on top of your KZbin. You’ve clearly helped SO many of us. I’m very grateful to you, Sir!

1.74 prescription(polarized mirrored) sunglasses with above -5diopters are crazy thick with a semi large frame. A 1/3 of an inch. I probably will look into the smaller frames you've mentioned in other videos, i just feel they don't fit my aesthetics.

I am -9.00 myopic with -0.75 astigmatism in my right eye, and -8.25 myopic with -1.50 astigmatism in my left eye. I have a right eye PD of 30, and a left eye PD of 28. Would you recommend that I get 1.67 or 1.74 high index lenses?

Im getting prescription sunglasses with a very low prescription (so i can see distance better when driving), do you recommend polycarbonate or cr-39? They say poly is more impact resistant but more prone to scratches... if i get poly sunglasses, is it worth more $ to get anti-glare? My mom didn't think so because sunglasses are tinted already

Thanks for the info, very straight forward ...Nice....1 quick question: what material is used to make high index 1.74? Are they plastic/ glass or some sort of compound? Thanks
@tylerandersen94102 жыл бұрын
1.74 is a High Index plastic. If you are looking to order that material, "High Index 1.74" would be how you refer to it. Thanks for watching!

Nice video. Wich one do u reccomend for right minus 3.5 minus 1.25 150 and left minus 3.5 and minus 1.25 55 PD 62
@sportrxeyewear3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It all depends on the frame style, but it sounds like it's a typical eyeglass frame. Polycarbonate would likely be just fine for you. You're on the edge where you would benefit from some edge thickness savings with 167, but I wouldn't push it if you don't mind lens thickness. Some people really hate it, so if that's not you, then you should be fine with poly!

Do you have glass lens?
@sportrxeyewear3 жыл бұрын
That is a great question! It is really uncommon these days to find glass prescription lenses. The only brand we sell with that option is Costa. Our friendly, knowledgeable opticians would be able to answer any lens material questions you may have at 888-831-5817!

Lense material doesn't count for crap as long as they refuse to allow any choice but polycarbonate when one needs bifocal.

It is SO sad that ppl dont know why they lost their distance vision. Bad habits=bad vision, Good/Great habits=good vision/improving vision. Simple as that but its decently hard to reverse nearsighted. Farsighted is simple to fix. Reading/close up work with 20/20 vision makes/causes nearsighted but help fix farsightedness. I read for a while, then look out the window-blurry!!!!!!!! Went outside until my vision returned to normal. Our eyes are doing exactly wat they are supposed to do.
