Anyone have tips for disassembly and cleaning? Seems like that should be part of the review.

Great review. I just received my Birdfy Feeder Camera. When I was setting my Birdfy up, I didn't have to remove the camera from the housing. I installed the Netvue App and on the App it shows the qr code to scan. I simply held my phone in front of the bird camera, scanned the qr code that appeared on App screen and it connected to my WiFi. I also bought a universal pole mount. I improvised with different screws and used washers to mount to pole flange. I will update here, in the future, to let you know how the Birdfy does on the universal pole mount. It seems pretty secure. Enjoy watching your beautiful birds.

Very cool! glad that you were able to get scanned in quick as they continue to improve it. It's been working really well months later, I've had it going even since and posting the footage DAILY! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGmrd6WvmLaFrqs

@@LensMyth Happy to hear you are seeing improvements with the Birdfy! Your footage is amazing!!! I will continue to watch daily. A question for you, how long did it take for you to see birds at your Birdfy feeder? I have not had any birds visit my Birdfy yet. I do have a Squirrel Buster feeder hung at the tree in my front yard. The birds are at that feeder all day long. I placed my Birdfy feeder closer to my house. I didn't want to place the Birdfy at the tree, since many squirrels do visit there! I may have to relocate the Birdfy somewhere else in my yard. I also thought about placing suet near the Birdfy to entice the birds to visit there.

I have to make an update after using Birdfy for about 7 months: FIRST I did not know that it does not work if there is no internet. I mean nothing, you'll think it's dead. The built-in SD card made me think it would work fine out on the farm without wifi but after a couple weeks out there I got it back and the card was empty.... no wifi. SECOND it needs wifi to work because you must pay for the camera to work monthly, I received some free service for testing purposes and didn't realize that without it this is just a bird feeder. THIRD it does work pretty well, for all-in-one monitoring purposes. The Ai hasn't been very accurate in identifying the birds properly but I already know which birds are which around here anyway.

Appreciate the thorough review! To clarify further, how much is the monthly subscription fee? I have not been able to find that info anywhere, including other reviews : /
@LensMyth2 жыл бұрын
1.99 to 5.99 it seems to be, the main company is Netvue and those are the Ai alerts subscription fees.

as I have seen in many reviews the main problem of this feeder is that the camera focuses poorly on the birds when they eat because when they eat they are very close to the camera and are blurred, blurred and not perfectly focused, which is unacceptable for a feeder with camera over 200 €. You will show your experience and see if that happens to you
@LensMyth2 жыл бұрын
The camera has a fixed focus and it seems to be set around the rungs for the perch. The lens is extremely wide too since it's so close and that can cause additional distortion. So yes, it'll be blurry when they are close in eating.

JUST GOT MINE, THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT IS THAT YOU CANNOT VIEW THE CAMERA ON YOUR PC...ONLY A CELL PHONE, WHICH I HATE TO USE TO BEGIN WITH...

The picture of the birds is too close. I prefer you films them from a distance like the older that you used to do.this new video makes me feel a bit dizzy when I try to focus on the the birds.that is just my opinion. I always like your garden and your good ideas for the birds

This video? It's just a product review, but yes I agree it's a tough angle because their camera is an inch away from the birds. Super handy to have for motion detection and night vision etc. though.

Alarm does not scare squirrels away!!!
@LensMyth2 жыл бұрын
The alarm DOES scare the neighbors though... my wifi is weak so I don't always know if the alarm turned off after I press it, I have to go outside to make sure it's not blaring, then I just scare the squirrels myself 😆
