Like Bernard said, its a step up from 20th last year - with a new rig and even more behind the scenes work, the trajectory looks good! And as always, the content we get exceeds expectations, especially the raw pre-start minutes give me the feeling to be there - excellent! It's an interesting insight to see the change of energy from BK immediately before the race run. The focus, the rubbing of hands etc. That's something we couldn't see from the previous footage when gopro was mounted on him at the top.

That new Pivot bike reminds me of my Specialized Allez Epic circa 1991 with the aluminum lugs bonded to carbon fiber tubes and stays. Also recall that old bike wasn't a very good climber because the frame flexed torsionally but that same tendency could be a benefit fro DH in terms of added forgiveness in some situations? Still looks cool regardless.

At first I was annoyed by the blank, but then it took me back to waiting to start when I was dead serious about National racing. I literally had heart palpitations, chest so tight...little bit of the shakes. I can't imagine the insanely long wait they had for semis & finals. The wait at the top would be more exhausting than the race itself. Glad I stuck it out to watch that anxiety filled dead space!!! Also...camera guy might have a crush on the photo girl.

Yea but unfortunately then Warner brothers own it and can do whatever they want with it and sell it and give me or the rides nothing. And sell the rights to GoPro to make us only wear their cameras…and pay the riders none of the money they make from the deal. Out of principle I won’t let that happen.

Commentary was fine. A bit rusty but it's their first gig. Atleast the Commentators have some pedigree behind them unlike the ones BBC rope in for world champs.

UCI MTB youtube has the live stream. I thought they showed less of each rider than redbull did. It was bette for the elite but for the juniors the commentators where screaming and yelling the whole time like they've never seen downhill before.

Many people would choose to watch the free race runs instead of watch the actual (Paid) coverage. Plus if anything spectacular happens WB want to be in control of how it’s used. It makes perfect sense, although not great for us or the riders.
