The white pieces made out of marble and the black pieces of cast iron look mind-blowingly good! 🤯 Also that stitched fabric, the board, the animation and all the other little details. It's just so freaking creative and incredible! I love it!!! 😍

The perspectives chosen are not random. Certain angles, like certain light, create atmosphere, and can tell a whole different story than the script. Just search for "different camera angles explained" and I bet you'll find a masterclass online!

Good job with the modeling and the rtx and all of that, but honestly, if you're gonna spend so much time designing the chess board and the pieces, you may as well render a game where all of the pieces and animations are used to their full potential. Honestly just seeing the couple of moves we got was amazing but I really do feel like there was wasted potential here, you should've gone all out and made an animation for a very good game.

Suggestion: so whenever a piece moves, the sides of the squares it moves through will glow up with fire. The color of the fire will be the same as the color of the top of the kings and queens of the respective sides, so red fire for black and blue fire for white

Not bad. I think it would have been nicer with smooth white marble, maybe quite translucent, much more subtle dirt if any and similarly smooth black pieces. Maybe a couple of different dark titanium finishes. Rather than pitted rust. They can be fairly dark without becoming invisible. Vibrant contrast is striking. Cleaner simpler squares too. Could be white and black stone material. The details of reality as opposed to exaggerated.

I am glad you did not call it a game, because so many 3D animators call it a 'game', which is just not true. It is a animation of the recreation you made. Making a game is way more complexer than just making this kind of animations and the work put into it.
