I stayed busy by working multiple jobs, fasting, and enrolled in a few classes at church. I then worked on the goals that I set. I honestly believe that each time I complete a goal, I am driven to keep going. I fought temptation by praying and fasting. I stopped drinking I stopped having sex I felt like people are use to the old me and are stuck on the old me even though I am evolving and changing breaking away from my old self. I’m getting closer to God. Loving myself out loud a lot more. I have had to tell people who to treat and talk to me and what I won’t allow anymore. Gives me a flashback from when I was in rehab back in 2016 and they chose me to speak infront of all these people. Except I will be speaking infront of a news cast!! Ahhhhh!! He told me, “Ms. Calderon! Be ready because tomorrow you are going to go shopping for a beautiful outfit, you’ll be getting your make up professionally done, and they’ll be interviewing you on Monday. We have a news channel that’s coming out for the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the place you live at on the 4th the mayor will be attending and a lot of people of influence. We decided that we want you to be the person that is put face front to be asked a few questions and share your experience, strength, and hope with everyone. Share how it is possible to change and turn your life around. We are so proud of you! You’re going to look snappy!” When I tell y’all I cried, I yelled, and I smiled so hard! That’s EXACTLY what I did. I am so fucking excited for this and I am so deserving of it. I deserve all the good things coming to me. Al though people don’t SEE for themselves what’s going on with me and I tell but not a whole lot I’ve been busting my ass to make shit happen for my daughters and I! Staying sober is the number one thing that would kick my ass every time and I’d relapse after the 2nd day of being sober. I can honestly and proudly say today that I am STILL sober! I’ll be starting my CNA course more sooner than later! I have big goals, big plans, big dreams and through and with His strength I will accomplish every single thing I set my mind to!
