As a public school educator for 12 years, I really appreciate how you gave the positives and negatives of your experience with your children and wife. That teacher who was upset by your child's finishing work and picking up a novel is a poor example of the profession, but education is in the people business and people can be flawed, big props to the teachers whose hearts are in it and are able to keep their ego in check. Again I rarely hear someone who gives that depth of thought to public education, it is very difficult to give individualized education to 165 new students every 6 months, and I can see the value of unschooling where people's home situation allows it. Much love and thanks again for the great content Tim and Leo!

Love learning. In Flatland we all start at Fulcrum -1 Wilber wrote. Once I was labeled "ADHD" and they gave me drugs, but I said that I started meditation a while ago to try to rebalance. Because I felt like they really didn't understand what I was trying to express and what they suggested didn't seem to work for me, I started to read the book upon which they based their professional procedures. I actually already bought it before the beginning of the "therapy" but you know, haven't really finished reading it. Meanwhile, after knowing McKenna I somehow found Watts (or maybe Watts found me, you never know with that sort of stuff, right?) which then led me to Jung. Months passed and then, after hours spent running and rucking in the woods and under mainly one beech, there I read in the book, that Zen-buddhistic mindfulness practice could help - ironic, isn't it? Love Learning.

@@reallifepsych3309 Yeah. The ideal of simplicity really inspired me. We waste our alot of times thinking about irrelevant things, this constant fear of being judged haunts us all the times. If we make things simple and enjoy the process, it would be alot beneficial for us

Had to stop listening to this bloke. He can't acknowledge anyone else? The meditative techniques weren't invented by him. Unschooling is not his terminology. Leo... Tip... Acknowledge and reference where 'your' techniques come from....if you don't you're nothing more than a plagiarist. Tim... Why didn't you pull him up on this?
