My dad has been passed on since 2001. I found out by my own research that I was adopted at age 24 which was 2 years after he passed away. It was hid due to my mother. She didn't want me to know. I actually knew my maternal grandmother but I knew her as my moms best friend. Lets just say long standing trauma bond between me and my momma. I moved back to my hometown finally after 12 years. Left when I went thru a bad divorce in 2012. My mom and I are like 2 hens in a hens house. And after 2 strokes, she is unable to be left alone so me and bf came back here to take care of her not realizing hiw bad things were. A week after we did this I had to make him leave because of my mom and her issues. I did it to protect him, I love him enough I would rather be without him than see anyone related to me cause him troubles especially legal ones. I love my mom and I respect her even tho we have some karmic lessons and healing to do on some parts of myself, and so does he before we can do a healthy connection. Asking him to leave me here alone was hands down one of the hardest things I have emotionally done aside when agreed to finally let my two teenage boys go live with their dad. I never thought past just surviving the six years after that decision that I endured.I had never been anything other than a momma, wife, and daughter since the age of 19. As hard as those 6 years were to endure, I did it. But surviving ain't the same as thriving, he has spured growth in my healing.
