To be honest, De Jong doesn't do anything bad; he is actually defending...as close to Messi as possible, shadows him and doesn't commit/put in a rash tackle. People should actually give him credit for this, before, unless you have played football, you may not notice that De Jong is doing the number rule in defending; delay/hold up the opposition as much as possible.
