Oh my god, THANK YOU. This is easily Leo's biggest weakness for me too and barely anyone talks about ways to get around it other than the homing moves. The backdash realign in particular will make a big difference. Still sucks that it's not totally consistent though. Leo's in a very weird spot... like they don't feel as "polished" as the rest of the cast. It's to the point where I'd actually consider Leo to be near bottom-tier because of all these inconsistencies they struggle with when compared to almost everyone else in cast, despite how good their toolkit is whenever the moves make contact. I really hope the devs give Leo's tracking some love in future patches, they really need it. Another big problem I have against enemy movement is when I run into players whose reactions are ridiculously on point, launching me almost within 4-5 frames of them stepping. It makes me more hesitant to start offense for fear of that, and unfortunately, that invites pressure. Any tips for dealing with those kinds of players?

yh i know what you mean. so if your opponent is reacting to your hellsweep or df2+3 try to mixup your low timings and also use quicker lows like d4 way more. it will start to annoy them at somepoint and it will hit quiet often since they really wanna react to the slower lows. once you have figured out how to mixup all the different lows like d4, df2+3, db4,1 qcf1 or even b1+4 you should have a better time landing the slower lows since they are too unsure whats coming next. most players are not reacting to the low but like predicting whats the most logic thing a leo player would do so you have to mix it up with other lows for that. hope that made sense. i might do a video on that actually

I've picked up leo back in tekken 6 and stopped because i couldnt do the knk cancels, i used to main mishimas and now im back with leo for tekken 8, I've managed to get to blue ranks but i know there's a lot more to learn with Leo, so i really appreciate the time and effort you put for this.

Good video. As a Leo player we *know* these tools, but your additional explanations were very helpful. Playing through gold ranks has been challenging because of how easily Leo is stepped, so I hope to make use of these tips!

d4 tracks all sides and is a good tool to shut down moving opponents but ure leaving yourself open to get CH so u gotta use it with the right timing like u already said in your video

One more homing move d1+2, 3. Which is high but give plus frame while blocking

I'll be real with you if my opponent is sidestepping/walking me the game is pretty much over. Not only will my offensive pressure be nonexistent(It wasn't real to begin with) but now I just have to rely on my defense, which sucks in this game lol. Idc about ranks really but it still hurts to know all Victors and Eddys mashed their way to blue ranks and above and me and Kazuyas are stuck here.
