Leo Sayer has one of the most unique and crystal clear voices in the history of music. He is extremely talented on so many different levels. Definately underrated in the music industry.

Good enough for Roger Daltrey to cover some of his songs on his solo album, this when The Who were still on top of their game.

Does he sound like a boomer? Love this song tho.

@@colinwhyte1526 Roger Daltrey asked Leo Sayer to write his album. He didn't cover them, Leo was so rated as a song writer that even the lead singer of the Who asked him to write his debut album. Says something to how respected he was in the music industry.

Dave Rose is on keys, James Litherland is on banjo, Bill Smith is on bass and Theodore Thunder is on the drums. This was on the BBC’s ‘In Concert’ in 1973 - filmed live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire Theatre and was his first TV appearance with a live band.

My sister went to a Leo Sayer concert and was at the front. He got her up on stage and sang "When I need you" to her as part of his act. He gave her a long stemmed red rose which she still has, all these years later. Wonderful, talented and very genuine person.

Chrissie Simon Your not on your own, As a young teenager i thought Leo Sayer was a bit of a joke with his silly costumes........But as I grew older I came across his music again and realised what a genius the man is. Yes Roger Daltreys version of giving it all away is good but now when I listen to the man that wrote it singing it I realise what a fabulous voice he has . Leo you are a Legend

I wish all the celebs, rich people... Would do just this. Responsibly of course... I watched this singer on a celebrity programme and he was so into his ego... But he put a few words in MY mind that to this day helps me. If anyone reading this knows if we go into a nursing or care home... You don't give it all away.. It all gets taken from you. I wish I'd have liked Leo. But didn't... I do like his pop music as I grew up with it... And I like the words.

TERRIFIC WEALTH SECURED FOR ALL HE CREATED IN THE INDUSTRY, including ALL THE SONGS THAT WENT OUT TO THE NUMEROUS ARTIST THAT WERE FORTUNATE TO BE A RECIPIENTS! THINK I HE😊ARD HE SUFFERED A SERIOUS INJURY DURING A PERFORMANCE, FALLING OFF THE STAGE, UNFORTUNATELY! TO HEAR HE RETAINED THE RIGHTS TO THE MATERIAL DISTRIBUTED, IS FANTASTIC! THAT IS NOT THE NORM FOR THE ERA! EVEY WAS GETTING FLEECED BY THEIR MANAGER'S FOR ALL THOSE AREA'S! ELVIS, FOR ONE!
