Awww Miss Emma, that's gorgeous! Humor me? I bet I know another song that your Dad not only grooved to but he probably adored the singer too. A legend of the 70's, the Queen, the only artist with not one, not two, but three PLATINUM hits at the same time! 'drumroll'..... Maria Muldar; Midnight at the Oasis. My Dad's fav. I saw her live(omg) at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in 2004, 30 years later! She was magnificent, i am so lucky. Told my Dad to put down the Jealoustini; watch it on PBS, lol. Play it4 ur Dad 4 m? Mine died too. ,❤

What a man! We went for drinks (a lot of drinks!) in Dubai sometime at the end of nineties after we produced Leo in concert. I think he might almost remember we broke him, but what a funny night we had. We ended up having a full English breakfast sometime near dawn after a night of laughter and hilarity. I've got great memories of a very lovely person, full of stories and positivity and an absolute gentleman. My best mate and I used to tell people about the 'Leo Night' and the amazing way he made friends with everyone we met. His promoter was very worried that we took him out to sample Dubai and didn't bring him back until the following day. Great times and memories from the time artists were real!

I think if Leo was part of a group with the same songs, they would be considered among the best bands of all time - but I feel like his solo branding was somewhat dated and because of this he wasn't considered 'cool' or 'marketable' when his music was incredible and everything else shouldn't matter. While his music still gets radiotime I feel like his body of work and overall career goes very underappreciated and generally underrated by most
@adrinathegreat309511 ай бұрын
Very true, also throughout the 80s and 90s he was an object of ridicule by English comedians and impressionists, mostly based on his disco music and funny mannerisms. He had an extremely broad audience across many age groups and was hugely successful commercially. Some of his earlier work was very inventive , but the rise of disco and Leo embracing this but never quite fitting in despite being hugely successful cemented his awkward image of an artist that just seemed out of place. It's strange because he was music wise very much in and hot and had a huge following, many who didn't like to admit it because he wasn't considered cool, and the mainstream media had little to say about him, so he got far less media coverage than a lot of lesser acts of the time. You only have to check his discography and chart hits over the years on Wikipedia, to see he was a massive success over a fairly long period of time. Not some singer who had a couple of big disco hits

Magnífico falsete de voz, utilizado en esta excelente canción del recuerdo por el gran "Leo Sayer"!!!
@billyvasquezcamasca89276 ай бұрын
Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" is a timeless classic that encapsulates the pure joy and exhilaration of being swept up in love and music. It's a song that instantly transports you to a carefree era of disco balls and dance floors, where the only thing that mattered was letting loose and having fun. Sayer's voice is incredibly infectious, his enthusiasm radiating through every note. The lyrics, while simple, are undeniably effective. They capture the essence of infatuation, that feeling of being completely under someone's spell and wanting nothing more than to express that joy through dance. The song's upbeat tempo, groovy bassline, and catchy chorus are irresistible. It's impossible not to tap your feet or sing along. It's the kind of song that makes you want to grab a partner and hit the dance floor, even if you have two left feet. "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" is a testament to the power of music to lift our spirits and bring people together. It's a reminder that sometimes, all we need is a good beat and someone special to make us feel truly alive. Whether you're a disco enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates a feel-good tune, this song is a guaranteed mood booster. So turn up the volume, let loose, and let Leo Sayer's infectious energy take over!
