It’s exhausting, I can’t deal with it anymore. When you get inconsistent behavior from a person you can get stuck in a pattern like this one, a lot of ups and downs, it has activated anxiety and a lot of uncomfortable feelings. 13 year relationship, were supposed to get married on 19th June. On the 7th June he started saying i could do better and doesn’t know if we should get married. The wedding didnt go ahead. @@jodieaydemir7868 I educated myself to try to explain aquas strange behavior by reading attachment theory, which only answered some questions, but once I started reading up on narcissistic traits, I started to have epiphanies. Trying to grow a deeper relationship with him was like playing chess with someone on LSD. A lot of confusion, but real accountability or answers are nonexistent. I see now that I must have liked the drama, since I stayed and hoped that things would calm down. Narcissist can’t stand people leaving them, it destroys their fragile ego. The Narcissists who do leave are those who feel that their partner is beneath them, and that a new a new shinier person will provide better value. Aqua broke my Leo spirit and replaced me after 8 years. In December things were great, but by February he turned 50, lost 20 kilos and had exited our relationship to move in with a friend, who is now his new person. I am stunned that such a thing even is possible.
