Tidy, tidy, tidy!......As a trades/craftsman of many many years I can tell all who read this that it is a HUGE challenge to keep thing, tools, projects confined to a certain space. Then to keep that space clean (American words vs.) tidy, ( UK version) is not only a skill but a window into the quality of any trades/craftsman's jobs. In my many years of such work the equation has always been the cleaner you keep your jobs, work space, etc......the more money your work commands....and that's always been the way it's turned out. I have the greatest respect for not only your work, which is of course 'outstanding', but knowing how incredibly challenging it is to keep thing in their right and proper place any time much less when your producing finished products can be and is. To you I say GREAT JOB, HATS OFF TO YOU! Thank you for sharing your work, skill sets, and all with we.....'the great unwashed'! Cheers from Southern California.

Looks great! The lighter paint color not only makes the room look bigger, but makes it look more inviting. Love the organization that you have for the small space.

Thank you all for your kind comments, I'm glad you like this video! I wasn't going to bother filming this originally as I thought it might end up looking like a boring decorating video but if it's given some of you ideas and you've enjoyed watching it then that's great. New leather videos coming soon from the new workshop ... :)

Dear Mr. Atkinson, Firstly let me thank you for all the info, experience, hints, tips and mistakes you have presented in your very informative videos posted here. I have been following and watching your videos approx. for past 3 years. Funny enough, I came across your videos a bit by "mistake" while looking at videos related to medieval sword fights, armours, etc.and just clicked a "wrong" video :-) Cutting a long story short: I´ve always been interested in the leatherwork but never had a chance to learn it from anybody in my country since no one was willing to share the secrets of the trade so to speak, so did give up on it all a bit. Luckily I did click that "wrong" video of yours. Was lucky enough to meet a few great people, while working in Britain last year, who were very very patient and told and explained to me the basics of the leatherwork. Thanks to them and your "contribution" via your channel I dare to say that I´m "Master of disaster apprentice of leatherwork" :-D and learning hard. Many thanks and greetings from Czech Republic

You are brilliant Ian. An inspiration watching you work. Your tutorials are comprehensive and you take time to explain why you do things the way you do and why you should not do it another way - to me that is important. Thank you for sharing , I really appreciate your methodical approach. If you ever want to visit South Africa and wish to see our country life let me know.Regards - Roy Sparks.

Ian, I am slowly getting caught up on all your vids. I was kinda hoping u would be at least mediocre at remodeling, however, just like everything we have seen you do, you are a true craftsman. What a great job you did on this and all your projects Thank you for being such a gracious steward for your craft. Much appreciated.

The new office looks great. I too am starting out on an old kitchen table. It's a nice solid oak table, but a little small. I finished a Tandy starter kit and am now waiting for some leather and a few supplies to arrive any day now so I can make your wallets (I have the build along). In the older office video you mention you would have your shop in your garage if you had a garage. I have a huge garage, but am planning on making my shop (eventually) in my house. I want to keep it inside where it's nice and warm during the winter. Anyway, another great video, thanks.

Hey Ian, really enjoy your videos and I've looked at this one several times for inspiration. Typically skip right to the end to see the finished result. Since it's been a year I was wondering if you could do an update? It would be great to hear why you chose certain things, modifications you've since made, things you would have done differently. Keep up the great work!
