I've lost a lot of people very close to me over the years. I've heard nearly every platitude and empathetic encouragement there is, I know that there is basically nothing at all that anybody can say that makes a difference. It took me awhile but I eventually realized it doesn't matter at all what these people are saying. It can be frustrating as hell because no matter how hard they try to make you feel better about what is happening you just know it doesn't even remotely help anything. What took me so long to figure out though is that it doesn't matter. What they're doing, and this is the important bit, is TRYING. So yeah, when people try to make you feel better by saying some meaningless shit that's supposed to comfort you, don't worry about it. Just focus on the fact that they care enough to try it. They wouldn't do that for you if you didn't mean something to them.

That would indeed be epic, especially if he used the Manfred Mann version as inspiration. The song was (AFAIK) originally done by Bruce Springsteen, but that version isn't as good as the cover, in my opinion. Manfred Mann made it rock. Let's hope Leo makes it metal.
