I don’t think Dessers is Rangers long term number 9 but he’s much better than most give him credit for. The fact that he does the hard stuff easily but struggles at times with the easy things doesn’t help him. He’s been fucked over by players around him not contributing to nearly enough goals meaning his misses stand out more. Alfie missed just as many but was adored but had more goals around him.

All the fans love Leon. Wish we had got him earlier in his career. And with Dessers, everyone knows about the human element to life and football, but he has failed so many times it's tiresome now. Last season we were 5 points behind and 2 games in hand, we played Ross County and Dessers missed a sitter that would have finished the game, we went on to draw or lose. In the other game in hand he didn't do well at Dundee and we either lost or drew that game and the league was gone. It sad and hard on players. But if you want a collection of runners up medals - then you are in the wrong place.

The thing with Dessers is he misses sitters..we understand players miss chances but he misses sitters & important sitters & that infuriates the fans, we will be 100% behind any player but 1yard out & he misses is tough to take..he seems a nice guy & tbh u get the impression the sitter misses he shrugs off...i think he loses concentration & if he didn't celebrate his goal in his head before it's in the net he'd be a great striker..but sitter misses r being associated with him..not the goals good interview.liked & subbed

For me I’d have Clinton Nsiala 🇫🇷, John Souttar 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, Kevin Mantilla 🇨🇴 and Leon Balogun 🇳🇬 as the four centre-backs at the club next season. If Rafael Fernandes 🇵🇹 turns out to be a a bit of a star in the making then I’d maybe swap him for Mantilla (but I’d prefer Mantilla).
