The thing I hated about this series is just how pathetic the MC is. He allows everyone to bully, humiliate, and steal from him for no reason. He refuses to acknowledge the feeling and thoughts of the people around him, even calling the Princes fools for giving up their inheritances and futures. Then the hypocrite goes ahead and does the same brain-dead thing! It has a good premise but is ruined by the protag.

I dont know what series you were watching...He was reincarnated into a very racist, sexist, and classist world where he is familiar with the way the main plot of the story is supposed to go. He feels at least that he has to operate in the borders of what wont get him executed while supporting the "Good Ending". This brings about his imposter syndrome. He is almost universally hated except by the ones that actually matter to him and he always gets his revenge. "He refuses to acknowledge the feeling and thoughts of the people around him, even calling the Princes fools for giving up their inheritances and futures." Because they are fools. They rely on their status even when they "give them up". They have no awareness of how their status has allowed them to live a far easier life even compared to lower class nobles. Leon doesnt have to give a shit about his status. He only worked hard enough to earn status so he wouldnt be sold to an old women and sent to a battlefield to die so she could collect his death gratuity/pension from the government. His noble status makes his life more difficult in the kingdom because it means more obligations and putting up with terrible women in his social class he will be forced to marry. As long as he has Luxion he can do literally whatever he wants even conquering the world.

SO you do understand! His ship could literally wipe the floor with the entire kingdom, his combat prowess and equipment make him the most powerful knight in the history. He has Jack **** for reasons to care about "execution" or the rules that the kingdom puts down. I've also read a good chunk of the novels; it never gets better. He gives and gives allowing everyone to take advantage of him, never standing up for himself. It's painful to watch@@Manpigeon

@@Archangel3447 I think I've read all thats been released so far. Leon doesnt WANT to be the ruler or change the world overall. He wants to just chill and settle down and get married. He understands though from the games that events WILL happen that can destroy his peace or even the world so as someone armed with the equipment and knowledge to deal with it he feels like he HAS to get involved. His imposter syndrome and desire to not be the "Ruler" prevent him from ever fully taking control of the situation. This gets him affiliated with many of the "protagonists" and "villainesses" who will probably all become his wives or close confidents. I wouldnt say he allows everyone to take advantage of him. He is just constantly put into positions where he is the ONLY one who can do something about a situation. Nobody else would have the firepower, authority, or the balls to right a wrong or rightly save the damsel. The Altzer Arcs really kind of highlight all that. I genuinely enjoy the series but you're right at least a bit in that sometimes you actually do want to see him take control for a bit.

My dude, the island he found and claimed as his fief was given away to the royal family so serve as the vacation house of the "princes" he hates. After developing the fief to have luxuries that can be found in no other place. He gives up most of his wealth across the series, and is constantly criticized and ridiculed. All he would have to do is stand up for himself ONCE, and everybody would never dare to bother him again. But no, he has to hide his strength and allow himself to be subjected to these crises and avoid looking at the beautiful prospects around him.@@Manpigeon

@@Archangel3447 His Island is still really his though. They only took it away in name only. He still runs and maintains it. Luxion quite literally prints money for him. Hes never going broke. As of the latest Volume I read he is an Arch-Duke. Quite literally the only person who can "order" him to do anything is the King and he regularly tells the king to piss off and they even got into a fist fight. Its pretty obvious the King is scheming to force the throne onto Leon too so in a sense eventually we can expect Leon to own everything and be hilariously upset about it. Also the "Princes" were technically forced to be his underlings. They are a lot less useless then we thought but still find ways to make him facepalm kind of becoming like his stupid friends. The interactions are consistently funny.
