You may well be right. This is the first time that I have heard this, and it is exquisite. But bear in mind that Lewis and other recent contributors have the advantage of hearing all the versions that came before, absorbing what they like best, then adding something of their own to it. This doesn't diminish the beauty of this performance, but many singers who came before contributed to it.
