If the plan for cooling is the airflow from the prop then machining off the blades/fins from the flywheel will save some weight and gain back some power as well. Given that the redrive and prop will be on the motor you might be able to lighten the flywheel considerably and still have enough momentum for correct running of the motor. I am disappointed Verner stopped the 3 cylinder production, it seemed like a good fit for the Legal Eagle.

The 3v is 42hp and is heavier than Scott Casler’s (Hummel) 47hp 1/2 VW.

K-66 here. Am VERY appreciative of your efforts and wish you gentlemen the best of luck. Love the ground adjustable prop idea. I'll start working on getting Briggs and Stratton to go to dual ignition haha. Curious about datum re·location / CG range. Thanks for the video 👍
