Born in Leeds, in Yorkshire, England, Ravenhill was educated at Cliff College in England and sat under the ministry of Samuel Chadwick. He was a student of church history, with a particular interest in Christian revival. His evangelistic meetings during the Second World War drew large crowds. Many converts devoted themselves to Christian ministry and foreign missions.
In 1939, he married an Irish nurse, Martha. The Ravenhills had three sons: Paul, David, and Philip. Paul and David are Christian ministers, and Philip is a teacher.
In 1950, Ravenhill and his family moved from Great Britain to the United States. In the 1960s they traveled within the United States, holding tent revivals and evangelistic meetings.
In the 1980s, Ravenhill moved to a home near Lindale, Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries Ranch. He regularly taught classes at LDM and was a mentor to the late Keith Green. He also spent some time teaching at Bethany College of Missions in Minnesota, and some time in Seguin, Texas.
Among others influenced by Ravenhill were Ray Comfort, Ravi Zacharias, Tommy Tenney, Steve Hill, Charles Stanley, Bill Gothard, Paul Washer, and David Wilkerson.
He was a close friend of pastor and writer A. W. Tozer.
Through his teaching and books, Ravenhill addressed the disparities he perceived between the New Testament Church and the Church in his time and called for adherence to the principles of biblical revival.

Sadly almost no preachers preach the truth. Since we lost Ravenhill, Wilkerson, and Hill, there haven't seemed to be any more real preachers left.

Paul was inspired by the Holy Spirit. This shows that we have different teachers. My teacher is the Holy Spirit. John 14: 26. Yahweh gave Moses the 10 commandments on stone. The children of Israel broke those 10 commandments at Mount Sinai. The children of Israel told Moses to tell Yahweh to go away and they would listen to Moses. This applies today. Moses went back up the mountain and received a NEW set of the 10 Commandments. While on the mountain Yahweh gave Moses the Levitical law. Genesis to Deuteronomy. The children of Israel in the flesh reject Yahweh's 10 commandments right up to this very day. Yahweh wrote the 10 Commandments . Moses wrote Moses law. Moses law was written to show WHEN and where Yahweh's Messiah would come. The day, hour , month and year of the first coming of Yahweh's Messiah is written in Moses law. Yahweh sent His literal genetic SON Yahshua and fulfilled Moses Law. Matt. 5: 17. The Jews literally killed Yahweh's Messiah themselves and broke the covenant made at Mount Sinai. Yahweh raised His literal genetic SON Yahshua from the second death and started the NEW covenant. Rom. 10: 1 to 9. Acts 1 : 21 and 22. Romans chapter 11 is very clear about the children of Israel in the flesh to this very day. John chapter 19: 16 to 18 shows that the Jews literally nailed Yahweh's Messiah to the tree on the appointed day written in Moses Law. Yahweh will empty His LAND of all the Jews, Christians and Muslims and THEN He will call His chosen ones home to their LAND. THEN Yahweh will send Moses and Elijah literally from heaven. Malachi 4: 4 - 6. Elijah will do AGAIN what he did on Mount Carmel. Elijah will turn the hearts of the children of Israel in the flesh to Yahweh and the heart of the Father to The children. Yahweh's chosen ones will build Ezekiel's temple and go back to sacrificing animals. Eze. chapters 40 to 48. Moses will do what he did on mount Sinai again. Moses will show the children of Israel in the flesh their Messiah in Moses law. Revelation chapter 11 is Moses and Elijah. The scripture says 1 third will receive a broken and contrite heart and will turn to Yahweh's Messiah. Two thirds will perish when Jerusalem is nuclear bombed on the 9TH day of AV at 3PM .. Rev. 17: 16. The woman in Revelation 17 is Jerusalem a the time of the end. Daniel 12: 4 and 9 tells us that the book of Daniel is sealed until the time of the end. Luke 21: 20- 24 tells Us that GREAT WRATH will come upon the Jews and then the times of the gentiles will commence. Rev. 11: 2 tells us that the times of the gentiles will be 42 months long. The last 42 months before the second coming. Daniel chapter 9: 24- 27. is the last 490 literal days before the second coming. The book of Daniel was written for the Last generation ONLY. The book of Daniel is written to show WHEN and where the false messiah comes. The false messiah will be the King of the Jews and the KING of the Christians. Ezekiel 44: 1- 3 tells us that the false messiah will walk though the vestibule of the golden gate and enter the temple mount showing that he is the King of the Jews and the King of Christians. Yahweh's Messiah fulfilled this prophecy 2,000 years ago when He went through the golden gate on to the temple mount to present Himself as the Passover lamb for inspection according to Moses law. They: the Jews found no fault in Him. so it is written. SEE, I have come to you in the Spirit of Elijah: I have declared to you my FATHERS NAME. Very soon Joel 2: 28- 32 will commence. This will commence the time of the end. Daniel 12: 4 and 9. May The Most High Yahweh give you understanding in these salvation scriptures of things to come. Heb. 12: 14. Bless you

He preaches against preachers who tell jokes... and then throughout his sermon he is making quips and telling funny stories.

He is talking about preachers who are in the pulpit who shouldn't be, preachers who are behind the pulpit but were never called to be there by God. There are preachers who all they do is tell jokes, and lie to the people like Joel Osteen. Preachers who are not truly preachers, but foolish blind men, leading the blind to hell.

Oh I understand all that...but it occurred to me that he was saying something that was speaking to my heart, he made a witty comment. Completely ruined what he was saying. He is a great preacher but he took away from the Lord to get a laugh. To me that is hypocrisy.
