I have been in that really dark place all alone in my laundry room. I couldn’t take it anymore and I laid face down and cried out for Jesus not knowing what would happen or if he would really be there. He met me there in my darkest place and I felt His forgiveness wash over and all through me. I am a preachers kid ive played the drums in church most my life i drifted away soon got married and had our first child my son who at 3 months old passed away next to me while i was sleeping it destroyed me i wanted nothing to do with God soon after i lost my mom and shortly after that lost my dad in that time we had 2 beautiful girls but i was broken i turneed to drugs and soon after my wife took the kids and left i now havent seen them for 4 years i was at the barrel of a gun and a friend asked me to listen to the song weary traveler i can tell u after that song i am now a year clean i havent got my family back but i got my faith back please do weary traveler

Make me think of My Dads and Father in laws death and now my Cousin. He was just laid to rest on Saturday In Puerto Rico with his Papito n Mamita.. I lost 3 within a year. I’m so delighted to see this song being reacted to. I’ve been using the song in the same way. I was in process of getting married to my gf/fiancée of 8 years when she walked out of my life without giving me any reason. She simply ghosted me, even though I did everything right as a man, as a companion, as a servant of God. I heard this song at a time when I felt like I was being kicked while down, as I started experiencing additional issues supplementing my loss. The way this song was written & composed helped through some very dark moments. And may this song be a blessing to those experiencing dark moments too.

Zach Williams is my favorite! Please do more of his songs!! He is an amazing songwriter and singer. He has an amazing testimony. His lyrics make me cry and think and cry again! I think there is a video of him talking about how he found Jesus and how Jesus saved him. If you search for it it might be here on KZbin somewhere. So I ask that you do more of his songs. This weekend, my 2 son's attended the memorial service for a dear friend of many years, who committed suicide. Every time I hear the song, God Only Knows by For King and Country, I think if only someone could have stopped him, there wouldn't be such a big hole in so many hearts.
