I absolutely love Petetborough. I’ve been coming up every summer since 2014. I love taking mid afternoon drives to Port Hope, Cobourg, Bewdley ( Rhino’s Roadhouse for lunch) I would move there from the US in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for these two HUGE problems. Trying to find a family Dr there is impossible. The cost of housing ( for the average home) is unrealistically high. I’m talking more expensive than parts of California ( and this state is notorious for being expensive) My income/per cost of living in Peterborough as opposed to California isn’t worth making the move. So I will come every summer and enjoy what I can from it. This much I can say. Peterborough is the only city in Canada that got me thinking about moving out of country. That’s how much I love it there. June 21st, I arrive and will stay until September 15th. --- can’t wait

You got to explore the petroglyphs and the great fishing on the trent!!! Grew up there many years ago and miss it greatly. I lived on Parkhill in the apartments and we used to go to Parkhill Park and hike, bike and swim in the pond they created every summer. In my HI school years I attended Kenner Collegiate and was the bass player for a local band called TYRANT! We played a few venues and the famous.. King Arthur's restaurant. There are many rivers and creeks that kids can walk along to just enjoy the nature that abounds. We use to walk in the creeks and for many a kilometer just to be in the water... and the water is very clear!

Been living here for 2 years now. Peterborough is well known for Trent University , Fleming and Seneca college. Since Peterborough county is quite small with population of 80K approx , there aren't as many opportunities here in terms of employment when compared to the GTA which is a major limitation here. Would recommend this as a great place to study but not as a place to settle down.

I was born here and lived all across Canada. Came back when I was 45 and could not get a job because of ageism. Had to go on OW, now ODSP because of my mental health of not finding a job, etc and eill be homeless like many others on June 30th. I am 59 now. No jobs, no affordable housing, what is available is geared towards students because we have Trent and Fleming. Greedy people just want students. This city is a cesspool with a high crime rate.

I moved away from Peterborough back in March of 1981 and have never wanted to live there ever again as at the time jobs were hard to come by and the prospects bleak. The last time I dropped into my hometown was in 2004 and I do not think I will ever be back as the place holds no attraction to me as the people I once knew have moved away or are dead. This video puts a gloss on the place I never knew.

Leonard Shea: Peterboro looks like a beautiful place to visit. It is appears to be a very beautiful city and the population is not overbearing. I have not been to Canada since 1967 when I was very young and before my father met my mother he almost moved to Canada (my grandmother had relatives there but in the Toronto area). Of course, when my father met my mother, he changed his mind. I wish I was raised in Canada because what I've seen of it (online), especially New Brunswick, is lovely. Please make more videos so that people like myself can enjoy them.

I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.
