Incubus - The Warmth. A hybrid of the studio track and the acoustic version seems perfect for looping!

Shimmer by Fuel or Feel Good Drag by Anberlin For us old guys in the back :)
@Dlogreen Жыл бұрын
Shimmer is one of my favorite songs to play with the band and solo. Because of the rhythmic changes in the verses , plus the different chorus progression, AND an actual bridge.... It's not the best song for looping if you're staying true to the recording. Bassline and percussion follows the guitar and vocals in each of those parts, so really nothing that stays the same except for the drum rhythm loosely in the first half of the verses and chorus but with way greater intensity and crashes in the chorus. Might be better to strip it back and be more intimate with the crowd for Shimmer..... They always seem to sing along when I do it, so I realized looping it isn't necessary

Excellent! New subscriber! Question: is it possible to record a whole looping performance inside the RC-300 (from beginning to end, not just recording the individual tracks, but the performance as it happened in time)? Thanks!

appreciate the vid mate! btw the rc-30 that I have can't make 2 loops that are different lengths, can the rc300 do that? e.g. 4 bars drums then loop and 8 bars guitar part on a diff track? thx :)

Yeah you can set them up that way. What's cool is each memory bank can have a different track layout. So for instance you can do 4 bars on track 1 and then multiples of that on tracks 2 and 3. I use mine as all tracks are the same length, but I use auto record on even banks (2,4,6,etc) and then instant record on odd banks (1,3,5, etc). So when I want to start a difficult song with beatboxing I can do it without looking at the pedal ... Instant record works well for reggae type stuff where you have the muted "chukkas" on the And of the beat (1&2&3&4&...1&2&3&4&.... If you understand meter). There's even an option on the rc-300 to have a completely out of sync loop track... So you can loop in sync on tracks 1 and 2 and then track three can be freeform..... Only suggested if it's truly independent of the other tracks, like an ambient drone or swell or random chitter in the background for effect. Good luck
