@@reaganhill7007 Yeah, same here. You can't even classify him as R&B or Neo-Soul or whatever. I just classify him as simply "music". However, if you check out one of his new songs "Why Don't You Touch Me", he goes "New School" on us, it has a modern R&B Flava, but it still wreaks Leon [Old School]Bridges. @@reaganhill7007 Exactly my assessment of the song "Stream"!! I try not to not hate on modern Hip-Hop-sters, but I'm not feeling the modern Hip-Hop Soul sound. To me, the modern Soul sound is missing that Old School Soulful vibe. My joke to younger people, is it is missing that "Vinyl" sound!!! I was just impressed how Leon did a modern Soul (or whatever the genre is called now) song with “Why Don’t You Touch Me”, but still brings that Vintage Soul vibe. Leon is almost transporting the energy of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson (Sam and Jackie were before my time, but two of the greats) into a 2021 song.

His new album is what I think of when it comes to quality R&B artists/music today. I keep my head buried in my older artists because I don’t appreciate much of today’s music. However, Leon is the exception. He, along with Gary Clark, Jr., Anderson.Paak (solo and work as apart of Nx Worries) and Bruno Mars are my favorite male artists of this generation of music. My favorite songs from the new album are Magnolias, Details, and Steam. Nonetheless, there aren’t any skips on this album.
