@MeribelNova11 ай бұрын
@@justforever96 I absolutely agree. It's just so unfortunate that, in some cases, works like these are doomed before their intended time. If it were a crime spurred of the feeling elicited by the work, that would almost be a twisted compliment to the artist. But for no clear reason? A tragedy 😭
@HarleyHerbert10 ай бұрын
Sadly a lot of people either don't understand the value of art or simply don't care and have no respect for the art or the people who made it. Works of art in public getting defaced like this happens all the time and while it's awful there's not much that can be done about it as there's always someone stupid enough or a big enough asshole to want to do this. If you ever make any pieces that will be in public unfortunately you'll have to take into consideration that this sort of thing might happen. I've had it happen a couple of times myself and personally I find it makes me more annoyed than upset, not just because they wrecked something I made, but because they've now imposed on other people's experience of my work, people who took the time to come and see it and so deserve to see the finished work at its best rather than vandalised and altered by some random idiot who just wanted to be a jerk. Some artists though have incorporated the fact this might happen into their work, so at least some people have found a positive in it. If you can get away with showing copies rather than the original piece, such as digitally scanning any hand made pieces and showing a printed copy of that scan instead, if someone damages it the original is still there. Or make backup copies of things so nothing is completely lost. Of course it all depends on the medium of the artwork, as sculptures like this obviously can't be protected like this but any 2D works like drawings, paintings, photos etc can be copied and reprinted, and digital work like films or animations can be backed up on multiple devices. Also if you make anything physical make a habit of taking clear photos of it if you aren't already so that in the event that the work is destroyed you can still have the photos to use as reference and evidence so that at least something of it still survives and can be used. You won't be able to keep everything you ever make so it's useful in the long run anyway.

What really sheds a ray of hope for me on the last video is that this girl at least had the capacity to not only realize she's wrong, but admitting to it too. Honestly that's just impressive, this could be attributed to the one sparking some thought being a black man, but nonetheless
@JunkBondTrader Жыл бұрын
your latter point, she just seemed to be saying whatever she thought he wanted to hear. I think she answered the question on the basis of if she's attracted to white or black men, then was confused if that means she dislikes them, and if that is racist or not. She just seeemed confused of anything, and didn't really concede. "I see your point", that's sort of like saying I get where youre coming from, but isn't an admission of being wrong. She just was being ditzy and flirty then got confused. I dont think she really thought through her answeers and wasn't taking the questionm serious because she didnt realize the interviewerr was trying to drive at a point.

I have to think that soup lady was telling the story to her friends how she was not happy that her soup was so hot it melted the lid and her only recourse was to throw it in a young woman's face and storm away so her friends had no recourse but to kick the hell out of her. Someone needs to try to slap some conscience into her head because scalding hot soup to the face is serial killer level empathy.

oh come on 5k is a good chunk of change, it was likely a first time offence, and its just warm soup in the face. 5k is appropriate. It DIDNT destroy her life did it?
