Thank you so much for these real time tutorials. I just happen to be doing a bird now so this was very helpful. Love your work and hope one day I can be half as good as you. Your videos encourage me.

Sent before I was finished lol, I can't wait to have a go at this, I have a few projects on the go but I've yet to do a bird and I love birds. Thank you for sharing wonderful lessons with us. I am already studying with 2 brilliant artist and illustrators. One is a subscription I pay every year and he has so much content and courses and I just signed up to a character course.

It’s disappointing that you didn’t show us how did you paint his head and beak 😪 would have been fun to see what did you do to get those amazing details

So beautiful! I like your soft colors even better than the reference photo. If it helps, im watching this on my phone and the sound on here doesnt pick up much more than your voice and your pencil sounds. I think there may be a way to guard your mic against too much ambient noise but i bet most people wont be listening with great headphones and wont hear much. Its worth it anyway to learn from you. Thanks!

Hi Leontine, thanks for this tutorial. I'm currently drawing a kingfisher and this is really helpful. Do you have your image on a tablet or iPad to copy from? Sandi 😊

Can I ask what pencil sharpner you use? Your pencils are super sharp, thin, and long,. I don't get them like that with the faber castel sharpner I use. Soooo which one do you use?

What about the rest. It's like holding the bread while the hungry child can't reach becuase it's weak but then you say, come on get up get it you can, but the child can't walk. When your making a helpful assist through KZbin make sure to be kind enough to finish it. Imagine if God made your face with one nostril one eye and only three teeth, but five ears. Good luck.

KZbin is free for you, and for me it doesn't make any money. If you'd like to follow the whole tutorial I'd advice you to sign up on my website. You can find the full 15 hour tutorial there. On youtube I only post snippets, which are already very educational.
