Yes yes the great great Lecturer , brings back memories from back in the days over portmore, it was me Luddy Ranks, Professor Nutts ,and Lecturer, on the sound called Love Child Disco . Yes talented , don't have lyrical djs like this anymore. Yeah man Luddy Ranks say soh

Big Respect Veteran, There are many underground artists in Dancehall very lyrical. But the Dancehall business currently is all about "style" over "substance" unfortunately.

Correction Tolani, that was not Skull Man, but Curly Black. As a matter of fact the music video to that song is here on KZbin.
@tolanimentor79833 жыл бұрын
@@blackwolverine1 It's definitely Skullman! He even mentioned his name whilst DJing the lyrics he's performing on stage! The melody & flow he's using is the same as his hit song "Jump & spread out! I know his voice! And lastly i saw him on an interview back in the 80s here in Trinidad of pertaining to a stage show he was booked for at that time! Do u need to know anything else?

@@tolanimentor7983 Bear in mind, during that era. Some Dancehall Deejays appropiated each other's styles ans even lyrics. At that time it was call "Pirating".Not to say such a thing may have happened in this case. But its up in the air on who originated what.
@LeoOReggio3 жыл бұрын
Loving the convo. Early Black did the hit song "Stuck" (the actual name for the song) and Skull Man did his pattern version after that. As Blackwolverine 1, pointed out, its up in the air as to whose style it is, and Early Black's video is on this channel.

From what i over-stand, the "Natty Dread" riddim Produced by King Jammy$, but built by Steely and Clevie. Not to be confused with Bob Marley's "Natty Dread".

Live Stage show peforming is nothing new to both Steely and Clevie. Remember Steely was a part of the Roots Radics band, saw a video of him on KZbin playing keyboards with the Roots Radics while backing Gregory Issacs. And Clevie was part of the Browne Bunch with his brothers, and also the Blood Fire Posse too. Let's not forget that other piece of their puzzle, their Sound System, SILVERHAWK.
