Leopard makes a swift and silent kill Kruger National Park

Leopard hunts a Small Spotted Genet in very tall grass he makes a swift and silent kill seen on a photo safari in Kruger National Park
This sighting took a lot of patience
When we arrived, Friday, ‎10 ‎March ‎2023, ‏‎at 11:06 am the Leopard was already in stalking mode he only made the kill at 11:23 am. (17 minutes). He stood in the same position for the whole time until the Genet made the wrong move.
The Leopard was extremely fast and I had to slow down the footage so that you can actually see what happens, you can see the Genet nearly got away, but the Leopard was just too fast.

Great 👍 photography ! And sounds , Love the natural chorus nature provides , In my native Northern California ( not L.A. ) we have some awesome countryside and the Sierra Nevadas a second place cabin in Yosemite but a half hour south with nothing to do with the crowds like I am sure Kruger is experiencing, Up the Merced river behind the cabin you could hike for a long time , Maybe a week plus , Into the John Muir wilderness , At seven to eight I was up at predawn and with a smashed peanut butter sandwich most likely in my vest catching wild trout in a clear pristine stream , The sounds of the winds especially in the fall coming from afar through the Redwoods ( trees) was so relaxing , For gifted photographers it’s a different gig than Africa but beautiful too , All the rain before Hurricane Freddy must of made it as lush as it’s been in quite awhile , We needed and got it too, Take care ! The best photography I’ve seen , Weird we had a dark room and sink , You know a photography room in South Lake Tahoe at my folks place , I still can get into it , Was on my list as a kid , Watching some older tapes I got of Marty Stoufer and his awesome captures of great moments ! Leopard killed its competition more like, since garnet is maximum of 4 pounds as adult, not much meat there. I believe leopard think garnet is competitor of its prey. So, killing not for food, really.
