THEY ARE NOT VILLIANS. that's how sharks are portrayed, in movies and the like and now they are being hunted extinction. what a piss poor way to do this. they are nature and don't have to follow our ideals .
@JohnSmith-mk1rj2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The way this guy describes Leopard Seal as 'the Ultimate Villains,' and even explains how they 'look evil' is just too much. Nature is what it is, and at times it's horrific. But when it comes down to it, humans are probably the biggest villains of all. We destroy the habitat of all living things and place ourselves atop it. I'm sorry this guy got his feelings hurt watching Leopard Seals play cat and mouse with cute little penguin babies, but that doesn't excuse such terrible presentation by the BBC. Nature documentaries shouldn't 'take sides' when it comes to explanations. This was very irresponsible of them.

Once, long ago, in an Australian aquarium, briefly lived the only Leopard Seal in captivity named Casey. He was found wounded on a beach with a shark bite. The aquarium keepers stitched him up, but Casey wouldn’t eat whatever they gave him. It was a hard choice, but they euthanized Casey. There is a video here on KZbin of a keeper playing Saxophone music for Casey.

Domestic cats play with their food in order to stun them and stop them from fighting back and causing injury. Wildcats know which prey will and won't fight back, generally, but domestics don't so they act the same way towards mice, which don't tend to fight back, as they do rats, which can and do fight back. Haven't seen an explanation for leopard seal play behavior though
