Your makeup is so gorgeous (as usual). Your eyes remind me of a sparkling galaxy, like star dust vibes or something.💜💙💚🌌 The weight loss GPS was such a good analogy, it made so much sense. Very helpful, thank you!!

This is real, and we need to talk about it! We've all done it, and hearing this really reminds us 'we can do it!!' Sometimes we just need to hear that someone else has been there, and encourages us to get on up and make it happen! :)

Leorah, I always truly appreciate the focus/importance you place on the goal of being healthy & eating healthily. As you & I both know, there are plenty of thin people in the world that are very unhealthy. We often think of thinness as being equivalent to being in good health. I lost a lot of weight when I was around 17, & until about the age of 19, I was very thin, but I was also unhealthy. My hair was falling out, but nobody knew but me, as I had a lot of it at the time. In hindsight (which is often 20/20), I think I had disordered eating during that time period as a result of undiagnosed depression. I also love your message of balance regarding approach to food. Any kind of imbalance is what leads us down a bad road. As part of the regular "list of questions" that my pain specialist asks at my regular 6 week appointments, the doctor asked if I'd noticed any changes in appetite. I said that I felt like my appetite had decreased some, but that it might also just be perception that I was eating less because I've really been trying to be cognizant of eating foods that are more nourishing & healthy, & that perhaps I felt more satiated as a result & wasn't constantly feeling hungry. I think that mindset of nourishing the body really does help tremendously as opposed to mindless eating of whatever is in sight (which I've been guilty of doing especially on days when my sleep disorder is bad & I crave carbs for instant energy due to the constant exhaustion it brings). Lately, I've been trying to keep things like boiled eggs (high protein) & healthy fats like avocados available so that I'm not just consuming empty calories. I'm also enjoying cinnamon spice Rooibos herbal tea a lot, & it's perfect for the autumn season. 😋💕🍵 Cinnamon naturally lowers blood sugar, & Rooibos is excellent for stomach health & has a natural kind of "sweetness" to it without actually having to use sugar or honey. (Honeybush tea is also great even for children, as it helps tummyaches.) I've also discovered that using certain "food-like" scents in my wax burner squelches the temptation to actually consume such items. (My husband is the opposite, as he said it makes him hungry, especially my latest scent of "orange buttercream cupcake".) 😂 It's like the scent gives me the olfactory enjoyment without having to eat the calories! Thank you for always being so encouraging while also speaking the truth in love, dear friend. I think there's a phrase used in scripture that refers to people who "want their ears to be tickled" (same idea as always wanting words sweet as honey), & there will always be those willing to oblige, but that's not what a true friend does. Like the "Golden Girls" theme song, "Thank you for being a friend." 😘💕💜❤️💖🌹🌹🌹

We are all dealing with something +++. We have to learn to love and honor and respect our body and ourselves. I have a great idea - instead of snacking, we should all watch our favorite KZbinr, Leorah! :)

This makes me think of something I read in a book recently that relates so much to this - I can't remember exactly how it went but it was something like "You'd better be careful or you're going to get where you are heading". How true, how true! I am looking at whether I need to reorient myself and my behaviors depending on where I'm heading right now versus where I want to go. The book was Mambo in Chinatown by Jean Kwok

I don't know. I've been on the keto diet for a year and a half now and I don't have issues with binge eating. I have depression and anxiety and chronic pain that's no longer treatable with pain medication. If I had an indoor pool at my house I'd get exercise every day but certainly can't afford one and our public pools are closed. I understand your message but imagine having really bad depression and anxiety for the past 5 years then adding the chronic pain caused by an injury a year later. Some challenges are too great sometimes 😭
