Es war auf einem Schulskikurs im Februar 1998, meine erste Liebe (ja, es hat Zoom gemacht) hatte den Trainspotting Soundtrack auf CD. Die letzte Nummer war Born Slippy. Schon die ersten Klänge haben mich so fasziniert und waren ein erstes Vorzeichen für mein ungebrochenes Interesse für elektronische Musik. Die CD habe ich rauf und runtergespielt. Leider wurde aus dieser ersten Liebe nichts, da wir beide einen Monat später von Schule geflogen sind und örtlich getrennt wurden. Das ist aber eine andere Geschichte. Born Slippy hat mich aber irgendwie nie mehr ganz los gelassen - Bis heute, fast 25 Jahre später sammle ich Musik, immer auf der Suche nach der nächsten Nummer die mich umhaut. Und dieser Edit übertrifft das Original, vielleicht aber auch trifft es unseren jetzigen Zeitgeist besser. Super closing Nummer für ein Set, wie schon von Gerd Janson unter Beweis gestellt. Der ganze Soundtrack ist übrigens sehr empfehlenswert. Danke Julie, danke Gerd
