That final riff on The Flood is probably the most epic thing I've ever heard in my life. Getting goosebumps every goddamn time.

The reason why The Congregation is my favorite Leprous album is because of those amazing and catchy rhythmic sections (The Price, Third Law, Down, Red...etc)

One of the more unique prog bands I like, I just feel like something's different here. I'm biased as a drummer, but I've always felt like the drumming and vocals set them apart. Some of the drum parts are just very uniqe. Take the song "The Cloak", the drums don't come in until after a minute, and that hi hat is just so quiet and background. The second time around he builds it up. This is called progression, and song writing! So many drummers want to play the hi hat on every eighth/quarter note of a measure, which gets boring sometimes! Switch it up! Lol, anyways, just wanted to point that out. Excited to see the new album! \m/

+CareyPortnoyBeauford It's not the same drummer in the video recorded The Cloak.Old drummer left to join The Shining and he's really good drummer right...Baard Kolstat very talented drummer too !

+ENGİN Yeah it sucks that Tobias left, but they found a very able replacement in Baard. Hopefully they get a good bassist now, I was excited to see what Martin would bring given his live performance but unfortunately he left too soon.

@@StaszekIM Nope, those are the lyrics of Third Law.
@chokovok72312 жыл бұрын
My guess is that they just used the lyrics as a basis to test the growling technique. It doesn’t sound like it would properly fit into Third Law, more like some Rewind/Slave hybrid.

at least it's not like on St. Anger by Metallica
@TheApostleofRock8 жыл бұрын

@88omair8 жыл бұрын
Yeah you have a point there. It could use more depth and warmth. It's not as dry on Coal imo. The bigger complaint I have is with the bass tone, it's too dull and lifeless
@TheApostleofRock8 жыл бұрын
Like seriously, why'd he change from the tone on Tall Poppy Syndrome??
