I’m a starter but wdym by plucking? Do you strum it once with that single string and hold it to the other fret ?

You are plucking that single string and sliding up the fret board without plucking again until plucking next note, lmk if you still need any help.

The last 30 seconds of the video confuse me so much. He says to play 1 two times on the 8th fret then slide to the 9 and play that two times. But when he actually plays it he only plays the ninth fret once, he says that your pointer finger will be on G but he then uses his ring finger. And he also doesn’t show how to loop the riff be come back around to the 678 strum

so in the video I play on the G string 8x8/9x9/8 and as you're sliding from 9/8 you strum the first chord which is EM7 notes are A7 D6 G8 as you get to G8 position, in the video I just slowed it down and repeated that section sorry for confusion.
