Leroy Body Update | Final Design Reveal???

In this video we went over to Cleetus McFarland's place to have a meeting and also scan the undercarriage of Leroy for aerodynamic purposes. With a great meeting in VR we dialed in everything needed to move forward. Jesse has the design pretty close and was able to go to the next step and get a visual design concept sketched that screams Hell Yeah Brother! ​@@boostn32you can slap sponsor stickers on even if he left the feathers, i think the feathers over the roof were just a bit much, going with black or mullet gray on the roof and deck lid would be more his style i think, or like he said taking the stars and stripes over those areas might look decent too, eagle on the front fading back to full stars and stripes would definitely be on brand for leroy.

@@eriklarson9137 I am a huge sand rail and open cage guy so I felt the same at first. At the end of the day tho, it's coming out amazing and will undoubtedly speed it up on track as well as improve chute launches. I'm stoked to see it.

The Feathers really sold the livery for me good job man, and seeing the simulated airflow was wild in comparison to when leroy had the smoke test in the wind tunnel.

Same. My thoughts when i saw the first video showing the design were that it was too cheesy and too monster truck like for a drag car. After seeing it revised a bit as well as with a livery I am so so so on board with this. Cant wait to see how it turns out.

I think it’s perfect the way it is. The way body is shaped like an eagle with its wings back along the sides and the beak sticking out past the front end makes it look like it’s going fast af when it’s just sitting there! It reminds me of a hot wheels car that’s half car half eagle! Freakin nailed it. Amazing.

Lol yeah, I learned 3D modeling in Lightwave on an Amiga 2000 forever ago. I still use it because it's like second nature to me at this point BUT I'm actively trying to transition out of it since they have basically given up on it.

Used it for years, then switched to Modo, and now trying to learn Cinema 4D... learning new 3D apps gets harder the older you get, especially when the one you know still does 95% of what you want.
