Between Leroy’s new body, Mullet’s new engine, McFlurry’s new transmission, and last but not least, EAGLE being built… this channel is about to blow up with unreal drag content! So so stoked🤙🏽
@a-a-rondavis9438
@a-a-rondavis9438 Ай бұрын
It's gonna all come together for a few months of epic content. Or, as we've seen before, under-tuned hyper drag cars get ran into the dirt with much higher times than projected, him and his crew not knowing what to do, and it becomes another Mullet. Mullet was kinda supposed to be a 5 second car, but it got thrown out the window because they're not on that level of tuning and engineering. Eagle hopefully will be overkill for the 5's, because Cleet and crew sure know how to give months of content for something that should've been solved in a couple weeks.

@@a-a-rondavis9438 I appreciate your attention to detail, but you’re lacking the big picture… this channel isn’t about setting records. It’s about setting goals, doing work, and overcoming obstacles along the way. I love the fact that they go around their elbow sometimes… sometimes they take baby steps, sometimes they buy a twin turbo hemi big block on a tube chassis ‘69 Camaro… it’s not about the destination, my brother. It’s truly about the journey.

@@chrisisthedude1exactly my guy. They show the true side of being a car guy with all the tid bits of cool youtuber stuff. Yeah they could just pay all the right people and go stupid fast out of the box but that adds literally $0.00 in value to the channel. If they get there on their own then its almost a day by day video archive of their progress from nothing to the best and that will forever be on the internet. If you want it done right do it yourself and if you did it yourself shut up and try again till you get it right.

Hey Cleetus did you know that the island of Kauai has a drag strip on the far west side of the island that is literally right on the beach ! It is struggling to get lights and grandstands but it was just repaved and they have some fast cars on the islands. People literally ship their cars from the other islands to go racing ! Someone like you even if you just visited and raced a rental car would be a huge deal for the island .

Yeah I’m a little confused also why you would choose chopped glass for a racecar part. Yeah they use it for monster trucks but that’s because it’s gonna get destroyed so they use the fastest cheapest option but it makes zero sense to do it for a racecar where every ounce counts
@Ayedidyae
@Ayedidyae Ай бұрын
@@gregoryh4601what utter drivel. Kevlar is to make carbon fiber and "Hybrid fabric"? 😂 what are you on about? do you mean powder bound with proper epoxy or what? I work for West Systems and i build race boats in the UK. Glass matting is uses in Fiber "glassing" hence the name. Chop strand is the weakest and heaviest way to do it. Roving and biaxial etc are far far stronger and lighter than chop strand and Carbon Kevlar cloth is a hybrid but is called Carbon Fiber not Fiberglass. Maybe not try to act so smart next time as you know nothing going of that ridiculous comment.
@Ayedidyae
@Ayedidyae Ай бұрын
@@54racemanbecause its cheap. Chop strand in the US is junk too its all for poly or vinyl resin. Here in the UK our chop strand we can get in powder bound so we can use proper epoxy resin on it and keep it thinner and lighter. For example i can beat poly or vinyl resin 450 and 600 chop layups easily with a 350g powder bound chop simply because its about 30% stronger for the same amount of cloth weight and laminating epoxy weight. Laying up roving or biaxial is time consuming compared to shooting it on too so the price difference will be huge. They should have cut the cloth into sections it wouod have went on better and not have had to roller it out so hard that i can see where the build up of overworking the chop is. They decent enough but the guy trying to say the dry edges was idea is talking drivel, that part needs reglued so its a solid not a bunch of strands. At first i thought he meant the bit they were chopping off but its not its the actual edge of the body. Yeah i wouldnt have missed that but i do boats so

Finally someone talking sense. I work in Motorsport and you DO NOT gelcoat race car parts either, it's extra weight for no reason at all other than to hide bad composite work. This body is needlessly heavy and needlessly weak.

There’s something satisfying watching skilled craftsmen go about their business. And say what you want about Cleetus and George, but they do have skills and have proven to be able to step up to the plate and do well. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product sitting on the chassis. Well done boys.
