Anybody old enough to remember the rivalry between the Gypsies and the Difficiles? The Haitian music has gone through different styles and within each style there was a dominant instrument. In this era of Les Gypsies and Les Difficiles, it was the solo guitar, before then we had the saxophne with Les Shleu Shleu, then they come back with the Skah Shah and Djet-x. Let's hope this moment we live is just a temporary setback and glory of the Haitian music can come back with new talents with all its splendor.
