I love how a little bit of Victor Hugo's original poetry is preserved in Feuilly's verse, albeit extremely shortened, changed a little (there was no "Souviens-toi..." in the original and the stanzas are changed a bit to rhyme), and not sung by Jean Prouvaire, but that was one of my favorite parts of the book and it's great to see it was preserved in the original version of the musical.

Everyone has a "leitmotif", that happens to be Enjolras's. They combine them all in the next song. This is one of my favorite parts of the book, when they take over the ABC because, well, it was convenient.

Listening to Les Mis in French just has that kind of special feeling in it - it's so subtle, you can't name it, but it's definitely there. The story just feels more... French?

Does it kind of sound like Enjolras and Combeferre are angry with Feuilly here? Because Feuilly is saying that he thinks they are being a bit dumb in his first bit and then Combeferre and Enjolras basically start shouting patriotically and Feuilly swiftly changes the subject and sings about Sad Things.
