Sorry for saying this, but I wish the filmed performance would have been with JOJ, because we already had an official one with Boe in it for the 02 one, so, you know, would love to have seen JOJ perform the role fully, since I have only listened his Bring Him Home and it's wonderful. But, still, the Staged Concert filmed version is wonderful nonetheless.

Did JOJ ever star with Michael Ball?

He did, for 58 shows from August till November. Michael was principal Javert while John was alt Valjean doing 3 shows a week. John ended up doing many more shows than scheduled because Alfie was off so much, so did most of them with Michael and 4 with Earl, when Michael was off ill during the final weeks.
