Wow I really appreciate your efforts ..great job its the most simple way of progressing in French.. I have 2 doubts in this context if you can help me in solving that so please, 1. Nettoyer means to clean ,right? then why we are using ranger de salon.. i mean can we say nettoyer de salon is that correct too? 2. Aprés avoir cusiné - this is a past tense but here why didn't you conjugated the verbe avoir? is it because there is no sujet.. am i getting that correct? Merci beaucoup

Bonjour! Merci beaucoup! Let me see if I can quickly give you some answers here.. 1. Yes, nettoyer = to clean. However, "ranger" would mean something like "tidying up" or "putting away" :) You can say "nettoyer le salon", but that would mean cleaning it (such as using a vacuum, or broom, and the wiping the dust off, etc.). Whereas "ranger le salon" would mean like putting things back to where they belong and organizing the space. 2. This is what we call "l'infinitif passé" :) The auxiliary "être" or "avoir" will stay in the infinitive form, and it will be followed by the past participle. "après avoir cuisiné" would mean something similar to "after having cooked" !

Bonjour, I enjoy doing the dictee. I learn new words (bazr, carreaux), remember to put the accent marks (or not put marks where there shouldn't be any!), differentiate between, say, tous and tout, recognize changes in mode etc. I wasn't sure about one thing though and pluralized it: quelques choses. Would that be incorrect? Merci!
