As someone who has had a knee injury since I was 16. I feel this I can only imagine doing those moves and drops the way he does. Makes it even more amazing! Love Larry looking out for him, but I know it is frustrating to have to take it easy.

Larry said in an interview on WOD that he was the one that usually gets injuries but maybe Laurent's style puts a huge strain on his knees and so he's likely to have recurring problems, whereas Larry's injuries might be less serious?

Late to the club, but straining your knees usually has your whole bodyweight weighing down it in, if not more. Ankle injuries are usually less severe not only due to the knees taking the brunt of it, but also due to a larger range of movement. By the time you've finished twisting your ankle, you've already begun falling over and taken the stress off of it. When straining the knee you strain it until it just breaks. Laurent's style incorporates a lot of moves where his whole weight is pushing his knee joints to the side, i'd suspect that has a lot to with it. In contrast most of Larry's moves has his knees strained the right way; for example his pistol squat.

Lets be honest. Laurent is one day going to have it much worse and there's no denying it. But the inspiration and hard work that Laurent puts out for people is amazing and honestly I hope he's able to keep adapting to his injury. Maybe perhaps one day he'll have to sacrifice some of his moves for his own well being and over all health and people would still respect him like the boss he is :D

I know the knee having torn my Meniscus, & ACL 5 Arthroscopic 2replacement that scare me for him. I can walk but the recoup & PT it a lot of work. I Pray for him Everytime I see him on his knees. He is young & has done well just want him to not wear it out longtime. 🙏🙏🙏🛐🛐🆙🆙♥️♥️♥️
