Lol people are overrating MJ as a dancer. He's a great pioneer of what you see today. But their are plenty of dancers that are better than he is right now. Most of MJ moves he learned it from somebody else, such as the "moonwalk" which was originally called the backslide. I understand the mystique of MJ. But most of that is created by his greatness as a pop star and entertainer.

@meishmo it doesnt make up for it at all in my opinion. you only see a tour once but you see the videos everyday. also, it turns out that she made two of the same video featuring the twins and the video that DOESNT get air time had more shots of the twins and of course the video that had limited shots of them is the one that gets air time. God forbid somebody outshines beyonce's corny over exposed butt!

There are some moves that you've seen Larry and Lau do that haven't been done by anybody else right? Things you didn't even know were possible. Needless to say, a LT fan could easily copy their moves and create their own style from it, right? But without Larry or Lau inspiring them, they wouldn't be able to create such a style that fits those moves that were copied, right? Les Twins set a high bar just like Michael did. Les Twins are a MJ fan so yes they copied moves and created their style.

You overreact B. As a dancer you have to remember where you're comin from. That also means that ofc Les Twins knows where some of the moves come from. But their style are their own. You gotta credit them for that. Some thinks moves wouldn't be used if MJ hadn't used them already, but you can go on about that style coming from the founder of locking fx and so on. So chill out

People are ignorant as fuck.. Without Michael Jackson, there wouldn't be Les Twins. They watched and copy moves from him, just like every other dancer out there. Michael Jackson isn't the best to dancer ever but he sure as hell set the bar for people in the 70's, 80's & 90's when it came to dancing. As far as Beyonce, you all act like she is able to create a video on her own. NO! If you have a problem with the video of Run the World, then talk to the damn director not her.

I think you might be the ignorant one. You should actually listen to what THEY say about his influence on their dancing. HE is not someone that they credit as an influence, but they PURPOSELY KNOWINGLY copy a few steps or segments of his when they use his music, and they don't dance like him or want to dance like him otherwise. But, they RESPECT him as an artist, as a singer who danced, but their style, which they call Twin Style, has many influences. You cannot say they copy anyone, because NO ONE does what they do. They claim Jim Carey, Will Smith, Jackie Chan, and cartoons among their influences. They will tell you that MJ came late into their experience, first because they are from FRANCE and believe it or not, MJ was not as big in France as he was in say Japan or the USA. He was known all over the world, but remember their experience is not the American experience with MJ. Secondly, they did not know who he was, according to them, until long after they had started dancing - which they claim they have been dancing since before they could walk. Their entire family were dancers and their mother danced in competitions. They describe that they were around 10 years old when they first every saw him. By then they had been dancing and were just a couple years shy of hitting the streets to dance for money. They've always said they did not want to dance or be like MJ. It's been 9 years since you made your comment, and you probably won't be seeing this, but I assume you have been able to learn a bit more about Laurent and Larry's background and understand that while they respect MJ for all he was/is/will be to the culture, they were forming their identity and existed in their world without his influence, and they would be exactly where they are if he had never existed on the earth. These two were destined and created by God to be who they are, and MJ wasn't necessary to their trajectory.
