It's standard tuning. Best I can tell, Dave's playing an octave D, the same but with B on the 6th string also played, the same again but the B goes to A. The pre-chorus is A with D on the 3rd string added and then an open G without the B . Chorus is just D, that G thing, open A with the d and the sort of G again. E|-----------|-----3--2 B|-----------|--3-3-3 G|--7-7-7-|--2-0-2 D|--x-x-x-|--2-0-0 A|--5-5-7-|--0-0-- E|----7--5-|----3-- those are the chords in the order they're mentioned. :)

The chords to the verses are D-B-A, but I cant figure out for the life of me how he's playing it??? I've never seen that before...

He's just playing the fifth fret on the A-string and the seventh fret on the G-string (Basic octave of a power chord). Then he adds his pinky to the seventh fret of the E-string then his index on the fifth of the E-string, holding the first chord down all along. Sorry, hard to explain here, hope that clears it up ! ^^
