Became a fan of Desandre and Dunford when they played NYC last year in Venus and Adonis by Blow. Have also seen Dunford accompany Iestyn Davies at Carnegie in a wonderful concert.Hope the world straightens out enough for them to get back to NYC before too long (not to mention Christie and his company back at BAM)!!

intéressante cette version des barricades mystérieuses avec le son du théorbe cela donne un son plus chaleureux un liant qui tempère l'âpreté du clavecin, bien vu !

Órák óta hallgatom a Desandre és Dunford előadásokat, és nem tudok betelni a csodával, ami velük felfedeztem. Remélem, sok cd-t készítenek még az évek során. J'écoute les conférences de Desandre et Dunford depuis des heures et je ne me lasse pas du miracle que j'ai découvert avec eux. J'espère que beaucoup de CD seront créés au fil des ans.

I would absolutely love a recording of "Ma bergère est tendre et fidèle", sung by mademoiselle Desandre with two violins, a properly strung theorbo and most importantly without the barking. It is a pity that the wonderful elegance of Lambert as well as the marvellous, beautiful and expressive interpretation of mademoiselle Desandre are marred by this "creative" decision.

I believe it is a song about a shepherdess, and how she leaves her lover wanting, and how she tends to her crook and dog (BARK!), rather than her lover. They bark because she says chien, which means dog in French
