The queen from the memes is Hwasa, the maknae (youngest). The rapper is Moonbyul, the second oldest member. Wheein, is the second youngest and the cutest little bean to ever exist. All 4 radiate talent (and sex appeal) and kill it, everytime. Their solo stuff is fantastic too. They're also very funny and extremely loveable.. Its impossible not to adore every member of Mamamoo.

Illella was the first Mamamoo song I've ever heard; well, nearly first kpop song I've ever heard as I'd never listened to this genre, and I'd never thought I would. I loved the song instantly. It was back in January. And here I am today, preordering 5 different versions of Wheein's new solo album. 😅 This group is literally the best thing that happened to me this year. The amount of joy they've brought me is unbelievable. Please, listen to more of their songs, and their live performances as well, as they are vocal queens! You won't regret it. Yay Mamamoo finally :) They're known for their vocals and their presence on stage. The girl is the pink is Solar (she's my bias) she's the leader and known for her power vocals. Spit it out and Honey are great songs. The rapper is Moonbyul, she writes pretty much (or all) of her own raps. I'd recommend her solo song Shutdown feat. Seori for no reason in particular.. :D Wheein has honey like smooth vocals and she's a good dancer. Mamamoo have been around for a very long time now both as a group and as solo artists (almost 10 years) so they have a loooot more you haven't seen/heard. You pronounced the group name just fine the first time. Yes, those in fact are drag queens. Mamamoo has always been very inclusive and considered to be a safe space for the LGBT community (likely why this group was suggested to you). The group made sure to (at least once) have cross--dressers join them on stage. The curtain went up, the song started and was being sung, four people were dancing on stage but were NOT the members of Mamamoo. The members came out of the backstage a few moments later still singing, while everybody in the audience was CONFUSED AF! It was hilarious! This group is known for crack-head energy and doing the un-expected things in order to be funny or at least entertaining in some way. All of them were born to be performers. Yes, you have the correct member. That is Hwasa and 'Maria' was one of her solo songs. She's the YOUNGEST member of the group, believe it or not! lol Many people initially think that Wheein (the cute one with the tattoos here) is the maknae but that's because she is the tiniest and 'cutest' member (also one of the Golden Voices of K-Pop, extremely versatile and GORGEOUS voice, she can actually sing ANYTHING and she occasionally raps for the fun of it). She actually hates being called cute, but, well... The Rapper with the deep voice is Moonbyul. She's just as AMAZING as all the other members! She can sing too (if you stick around long enough you will get to hear her wonderful voice!). She's also a great dancer and HATES to be put in anybody's box, she is her own person and does things the way she wants to do them (just like the rest of the members). She dances in a very 'masculine' way a lot of the time but she can also be very feminine if she tries. The member who was on the dancer's pole is Solar, the eldest member and leader. She does the GREAT BIG BELTING vocals most of the time (both Wheein and Hwasa can almost match Solar's ability to do that). So I literally just mentioned them in order from Youngest to Oldest.

you should look into their older mvs! its crazy to see their sorta style evolution for main discographies, yet they pretty much master all musical styles. "mr ambiguous", "piano man", "ahh oop", "um oh ah yeah", "youre the best", and "decalcomanie" id consider being their more older style they started out with. theres still a lot more between "hip" and "youre the best" including "egotistic" however haha, "yes i am" and everything from their 4seasons project are all absolutely stellar and a huge shift in their work" others have said it here but they have a lgbt fandom for mamamoo in sk called rainbow moos to which, the members have acknowledged very well and finds it amazing they exist. their presence for queer people is immense and definitely warms my heart as a queer person :) moonbyul for instance, while never really writing her lyrics with specific pronouns or gender in them, has so only once and it was strictly about woman on woman intimacy (shutdown ft. seori). wheein's "goodbye" focusing on a woman in love with another woman in the mv with wheein stating how she wanted to show that its all the same type of love. the drag queen performers in "hip" wasn't even the only time theyve had queer performers with them! i dont remember when it was, but they had performed "youre the best" for an award show? with an all genderqueer/genderfluid dance troupe perform the opening act and besides them as they sang. they've performed for a webcomic host site that mainly features lgbt stories and to a somewhat lesser extent but i personally count a lot, is their mv for "um oh ah yeah" from 2015. all members but solar (pole dance girl) crossdress as men for a comedic parody of love stories that focus on men pursuing women. if you wanna know more about the lgbt sk side of the fanbase (which is a lot of the fanbase to begin with lol), id say to check out "Why Mamamoo is loved by LGBTQ+ fandom? With Mamamoo, there are albums, Solos, OSTs, covers from the group and each member over the last 10 years and now there are over 400 videos to watch with 25+ new ones each year. They also have youtube channels with lots of content, Solar(Pink outfit) especially has a lot of covers on her solarsido. The last year Solar, Wheein and Moonbyul released Solo albums and have been doing individual world tours, Hwasa will likely release an album as well, with next year probably a focus back on the group. They are known for their vocal talents, especially live so definitely watch the Live videos and live performances but also watch the MVs because they are very well produced as you saw here. This is my favorite group and Solar is my favorite singer, not just the group, worldwide. Most people try the medleys, Dingo Killing voice, Immortal songs(covers for the contest they won) and Mamamoo Live Hits collection from the hwasa TV show(hwasa was in the black leather in AYA, this last you will hear a live version of 1llella with a live band among many other songs in a medley and one of their best ballads. They do every genre. They fully support LBGTQ and in fact Solar's newest album colours has a song Colors which is EDM and vogueing and features dances from the house of love in Korea, very in your face support though considering she is 33 years old, mamamoo members can be more forceful to challenge society, they always have from the start but Colors is definitely a video to watch(there is also a rock and a true Blues song on this album)

You picked the right group! Mamamoo (alongside Dreamcatcher) is known as the gayest girl group in K-Pop, with Moonbyul and Solar 99% likely to be in a LTR. (Nothing confirmed because it's South Korea.) All of their interactions on stage and off are highly questionable at best, off the charts at worst. Wheein and Hwasa have now both said they are in heterosexual relationships, but they've been friends since middle school and are VERY comfortable with each other. Both Wheein and Moonbyul have done gay songs, and the group did Delilah without changing Delilah's sex. Not sure about outside Korea, but in Korea, 96% of the fandom is female, and Mamamoo knows this and plays it to the hilt.

(G)I-DLE, MAMAMOO, and DREAMCATCHER are mostly the girl groups lesbian Kpop fans gravitate to, at least most that I know, some of them also go for the BIG3 which are BLACKPINK, TWICE, and RED VELVET. It doesn't matter but you should check the others out as well it could be a fun experience. The reason why these groups attract a large number of LGBT following is because they don't shy away from the topic.

Yassss so true! And the first three groups you listed are my top groups of all time for that reason but also for the talent they have and the bops that they make effortlessly, plus they all know how many lesbian fans they have too and embrace it which I really love and appreciate lmao

@@oanayu I personally think CUBE is worse than YG. The entire Executive board at CUBE Entertainment should all go bankrupt, become homeless and have to clean toilets in order to be able to afford to eat. Either 1) new people can come in and take over the Executive positions or 2) the entire company could go bankrupt BUT I want ALL of the Idols, Soloists and Support people/ staff to be safe, comfortable and happy; it's only the Execs that I have beef with. Soyeon has carried (G)I-DLE and (G)I-DLE has carried CUBE. These AMAZING ladies all need a break and some well-deserved appreciation for their abilities.

There is a specific guide for Mamamoo that seems to be a fandom favorite; it's a little bit outdated now but it was solid and accurate information when it was made. It still works just fine as a decent introduction to the members for new fans (the editing was absolutely wonderful and on-point and the videos have some funny parts, too). There used to be a channel called Purple Hawke; they got bullied completely off of YT (completely closed their channel) specifically over the two videos they made for Mamamoo. The creator is a WONDERFUL person and whoever they are, I really wish only the best things in life for them! They did not deserve any of that bullying, they did nothing wrong to constitute that treatment. They just were not prepared for the levels of hatred they got over those videos. It is very sad. Purple Hawke's guide to Mamamoo has a Part One that covers the basics of Solar and Moonbyul and there is a Part Two that covers Wheein and Hwasa. Both videos can be found on somebody else's YT channel now, with express permission from Purple Hawke. (my memory is total crap these days but IF I remember correctly, they can be found on a channel called 'MOO YT' (if I am wrong about that, somebody please correct me and let Helena know!). Another K-Pop Girl Group that is LGBT friendly and very inclusive (they have even done Sign Language in some of their choreography!) is DREAMCATCHER. That is my Ult Group! I love all seven of those ladies, so I do not (can't) have a bias with any of them, they are ALL my bias which defeats the point of a bias, so I am OT7! Please start with DreamCatcher's (re-)Debut song called 'Chase Me'. That song and MV kicks off a seven-part storyline called the Nightmare Series. Their music continues far beyond that story but it is really cool that they did things that way. :)

@@AmadanMath Yes, she got bullied, doxxed and had her life threatened. First it was because some solo stans didn't agree with some members getting more time than other members and including Hwasa's I Live Alone clip showing her with Wheein and coming across the cat in the shop where they make friendship rings. Hwasa was shown asking to touch the cat's butt hole. People didn't like that so Purple Hawke deleted that part in Hwasa's section, added more time to Wheein's section and uploaded the version we are all familiar with now. Some Solar stans were still not happy because they felt PH was mocking Solar and mainly focusing on her yeba and living meme persona. That's when PH got bullied, threatened and doxxed.

@@djvillan OMG... I want to say I can't believe it, but I sadly do. Yongsun clearly enjoys being Yeba, and most of us love her because of it, not in spite of it (besides the obvious, the vocals). It's not like she's too stupid to know New Year doesn't start in August, she's obviously doing it for the laughs - who's mocking her? And I do seem to remember Wheein's section being a bit sparse in the old version, but how sick do you have to be to go threaten an obviously hard-working and talented creator over it...?

@@AmadanMath I read it directly from their channel after all of that happened. The ONLY videos left on the channel were those two Mamamoo guide videos but PH was not coming back and left a note, giving permission for others to use the videos. There was NOTHING else left on the channel in any of the tabs. I am not sure if the channel has been taken down by now or if it is still there, I have not been back. Thankfully, somebody else did take on those videos.

They have a bit of a different style though, I don't know if you like it but my suggestions for them would be 'Odd Eye', 'Deja Vu', BEcause' and maybe 'BOCA' or 'Maison' ?
