Again, thanks to you Nancy I now know of this show. The word "intense" seems like an understatement. My grandfather worked in the coal mines: started when he was 15. Hard work now, but harder then. Oxycodone has devastated many lives in my state. The two topics together, plus the sapphic/escape-from-here elements make this a must see.

Dopesick made me CRY!!! That show was INSANE! It’s all based on the real Opioid Epidemic in America! This gay storyline was a small part of the whole series. The series showed ALL the devastating results of the Opioid Epidemic.

Didn’t your heart just break for Betsy when she called Grace, asking if they could start again after she was clean, only for us to see that Grace has a partner and baby in the background. It was like she needed hope that something good would be there for her when she got clean, and when she knew any chance with Grace was gone, she took that last big hit. So tragic.
